Who: Sanji (
serving_love) & Vietnam (
hoasen)
When: Backdated to 1/10.
Where: Sanji's apartment.
What: Sanji's making dinner~!
Rating/Warning: Probably just copious amounts of Sanji being a fool.
[Sanji's got everything ready to go! The ingredients are out, the candles are— Okay, no, there aren't any candles. He can at least manage to not come on THAT strong, seeing as how this is the first time he's meeting Vietnam-chan in person. Be cool, man, damn.
He has cleaned the place, though. Despite his crewmates' best intentions, their slovenly ways have yet to rub off on him.
As soon as Vietnam arrives, they can start cooking! Sanji straightens his tie for the eighth time and smooths down his jacket and totally doesn't stare at the door until she shows up, nope, definitely not.]

Even then, Vietnam doesn't want to come empty handed, which is why she also brought a small gift. It's not food (which is actually a first for her), but rather, some good luck charm to wish him well for his work as a tv host.
Well, here she is! She presses the doorbell. This one here is totally oblivious to what was going on in the apartment.]

Lucky for Vietnam, she doesn't have to witness the way he tornadoes right up to the door. He throws it open probably a little too eagerly, a wide grin on his face as he greets the girl on the other side.]
Vietnam-chwaaan~!!
[...He assumes. Unless there's some other pretty lady coming to visit him for some reason -- not that he'd complain about that, but.
No, he's sure this must be Vietnam, and he steps back out of the way so she can enter the apartment, sweeping into a low bow as he does so.]
It's a pleasure to meet you! Please, come in, make yourself at home!

Hello, Sanji! Thank you very much for inviting me.
[She bows back politely in return before she steps in as invited. But not before holding up the neatly wrapped package with the charm.]
This is for you and your time.

[He shuts the door behind her and accepts the gift with another smile.]
Ah, thank you! You really didn't have to, Vietnam-chan.
[Holds out an arm, directing her to the kitchen where she's welcome to take a seat at the breakfast bar if she wants.]
Should I open it now? And can I get you something to drink? I've got wine.
no subject
[She really did have to! She can't come empty handed anyway, is how she felt about this.]
You're welcome, and it is only something small! You can open it whenever you like. [And she sits down as directed, everything looks so tidy. Sanji, you've definitely done well, considering she was so ready to expect something exotic, since pirates.]
If you do not mind sparing some wine, I will be happy to have some. [Although she'll need to watch her intake.] You have a very nice place.

[He gestures behind her toward the living room, where the entirety of one wall is lined with a big aquarium.]
I even had to bring the sea life to me, heh.
[Then he goes to pull out some wine glasses and pour her some, handing the glass over before his attention returns to her present.]
There you go. Now, let's see...
[He quickly undoes the wrapping on the gift, eager to see what's inside.]
Oh hey, cool!
[Beaming, he lifts the charm up so he can get a better look at it. He's not entirely sure what it is, exactly, but it's pretty!]
Thank you, Vietnam-chan!!

[And she loves the water, so she's around it a lot. Turning her head, she looks at the aquarium.] Ah, this is lovely! [It makes the place look quite lively.
When she turns back, there's a wine glass ready for her, which she takes most gratefully.] Thank you very much! [Before watching him in anticipation! It is only but a simple gift!]
You are welcome, Sanji! It is a token to wish you luck, so that your program will be a great success.

[His fish help, though. They make him feel more at home.
Her explanation makes him look at the gift with even more appreciation, and he promptly hangs it up on the handle of one of his cabinets.]
That's so cool... Thanks again. I'll have to bring it into the studio, hang it up in the kitchen there.
[It can just show up in the background of every episode lol.
He turns to open the fridge and pulls out a platter of various cheeses, crackers, and grapes that he'd already prepared, and sets them on the breakfast bar for Vietnam.]
Help yourself! I'll get dinner started. I'm making you my specialty~
[Which also happens to be his personal favorite meal.]

[Ambient wave CDs!
She's definitely going to be looking forward to seeing it in the episode, but she doesn't even think he'd add it in!] I hope it will help you then!
[She's practically beaming! More so when some appetisers are set out, and look at that. The quality can already be seen before it is tasted.]
Thank you very much! It all looks so good, though I should save just some space for your specialty too.
[Don't worry, she's a pit.]

[Pauses suddenly and turns back to look at her, blinking.]
They make stuff like that?
[Still getting the hang of some of this modern stuff. He's discovered music CDs and the like, but someone actually bothered to record the sound of the ocean??
Huh. Cool.]
I had no idea. I'll have to look into it!
[Finishes collecting all his ingredients, a lot of which is seafood -- shrimps, scallops, and lobster! And also everything he needs to make fresh pasta.]
You're most welcome, Vietnam-chan~ So how've you been?
no subject
[Looking for those ambient CDs might take effort, but at least it is available for those who just want to meditate. He can use it for a whole different purpose.]
[She likes seafood too, so she is so ready for this!]
I have been well! At least well enough for this place. And if anything, I am not damaged. [WOW] What of yourself?
no subject
[Seriously, he's so going to do that. He can already picture lounging on his couch, watching the fish in his aquarium with soothing waves playing in the background while enjoying a smoke and perhaps with a pretty girl curled up against his side...
Wow, okay, no Fantasy Mind Theater right now. Geez.
He starts mixing some flour and other things into a bowl for his pasta, working quickly and never missing a beat even while talking to Vietnam.]
Not damaged, huh? [A little amused.] Guess that's the best we can hope for in this place sometimes, huh? I've been alright. Keeping busy. One of my crewmates showed up.
[Not one he would've preferred, but eh... Zoro's still nakama. Better than nothing.]
