It is a quiet day in mostly reconstructed Cerealia. The robots are busily running into walls that were not there before, the Cybuddy bees are buzzing...and CERES has still not said a word. Attempting to contact them still gets the User Offline error. Strange...

But who cares if CERES is offline? After all, they are the cruel and tyrannical captors. A Cerealia without them must be better than a Cerealia with them. So there's nothing to worry about on this fine, peaceful day. Or, at least, that's what it seems like, when suddenly there's a voice in everyone's head. A chosen few may recognize the voice, for they will have heard it before, but to the vast majority, it is brand new.

Looks like someone has been saved, and a reward granted... and no, you don't have a single choice in the matter.

Your heroism will be remembered, lost and stolen souls.

You have saved me, and so now, I shall save you.

All of you.

//SCENARIOS.EXE

PHASE I

[ day one ] It happens so quickly. One moment you’re in the colony, going about your daily life, and the next, you’re… floating. A moment later, every player character from the colony is transported with a wisp of fresh air to...somewhere very very different. The distance is far, but it is covered in what must have only been a scant moment, and it’s clear somehow, especially to air characters, that it was Caeli’s doing that brought everyone there.

There, naturally, being right in the middle of the jungle.

Everyone is then unceremoniously dropped. You may land on a tree, or in a patch of poison mushrooms (no really, look out for the colorful plant life, it’s probably poisonous) or in the river. There are some strange insects of all sorts and types, some of which have some uncomfortable side effects if you’re bitten, such as swelling or the uncomfortable urge to go hug the nearest person, and there are strange flowers everywhere, some of which glow only in the dark of night or the shade of trees. It is dreadfully humid, however, and a little hard to breathe--unless you’re of the air disposition.

Either way, you’ve certainly landed somewhere fantastical, so take some time to get used to your surroundings. It shouldn’t take too long to find everyone else, hopefully.

PHASE II

[ day two ] Of course, this far into the jungle, and making this much noise, it was only inevitable before some company was attracted.

Some are clearly dangerous, some are peaceful as can be and some are somewhere in between; approach at your own risk.

Either way, these monsters are all drawn to larger groups of people and a lot of noise, so it may be best to keep quiet...though the ones that keep their distance may be even more concerning.

Everyone is certainly being stalked at one point or another in the jungle -- and at night, there are eyes watching from the darker parts of the trees.

PHASE III

[ day three ] But perhaps if you follow some of those monsters deeper into the woods, you will stumble across an old, run down village of sorts. It looks as though time and the jungle has overtaken it. Exploring it will reveal plenty of homes that were clearly lived in however, by families and by people of all sorts.

There are empty rooms, covered in dust, and a central village fire, long gone out.

Small knick-knacks and various objects can be found… if you want to steal from the dead, you know. It’s a little rude. It appears they led a simple, peaceful life, however; most notably, there is no technology to be found.

And if The Bridge catches you doing it, she will look incredibly sad and ask you to put everything back in its proper place before she goes back to looking very irritated at Caeli. You may overhear words about how this “isn’t the right place” and Caeli’s unrepentant, “It is only a few hundred miles”. Looks like something went a little wrong in the transportation process.

Time to camp out for the night, perhaps. And your CereVices don’t get any reception out here, so no surfing the internet for you. If you try to connect to the internet, for some reason the device starts playing a song. Was that programmed…?

PHASE IV

[ day four ] By the fourth day, it’s pretty clear that you’re going to be stuck here for a bit. Pestering Caeli or Maris gets nothing, while the Bridge still can’t be approached for pretty good reasons. So… you’ll just have to make the best of it while they figure out their next approach.

Time to figure out how to camp with few supplies and even fewer nice places to sleep. Maybe try to make a fire (though it’s incredibly difficult, considering how muggy it is here) or try to find some bugs to eat (ew gross).

Of course, you can try hunting, but the prey doesn’t look too friendly, so be careful not to become the prey yourself. The same goes for fishing, it seems.

Some of the trees are poisonous, some of the grasses will cause unfortunate rashes, and some vines will lash out to grab at people (especially colorful ones); basically, this is an entirely untamed alien jungle, so it may not be the fun camping trip you'd like.

Time to work together to survive out here, at least for a little longer.

It’s your time to shine. This is Person Versus Wild.

PHASE V

[ day six ] On day six, the jungle goes utterly silent.

The monsters and animals disappear. The extra friends poof away hastily and suddenly. Maris and the Bridge fall silent (though Caeli admittedly continues floating there as ever). If anyone approaches them to ask, they'll just say that "she is coming".

And soon, she does appear. She moves slowly, lacking in feet; they are roots, as though that of a tree. Nonetheless, she has no troubles with moving forward, slow bit by bit. She does not speak, not at first, and behind her, trotting lightly through the woods, there is another. Both feel strongly of spiritual energy, just like Maris and Caeli. And eventually, after observing the people gathered, they can be spoken to.

BONUS

[ day ??? ] After spending some time in the jungle, emotions might be running a bit amuck. And those emotions might bring some unexpected...friends. Yes, let's go with friends.

Because if a character is typically grumpy, gloomy, stoic, lineface, or anything along those lines, they may find themselves followed by a bright, happy bird. That bird feeds off of those emotions, and will just cheerfully follow around any lineface character for as long as possible. Or until they smile. The birds are otherwise harmless, chirping happily every now and then and following them around like a friendly shadow.

Happy, cheerful, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, energetic characters, on the other hand, will soon find themselves followed by... a different friend. Or maybe a handful of them. It depends on how cheerful they are. Either way, these creatures feed off of happiness and fun, but they will also chew on hair or an ear if they're allowed to get that close, making horrifying, chittering noises as they follow anyone who is in a good mood.

Takeru

[personal profile] zerotohiro 2015-10-10 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
I've been trying to figure out the same thing myself, dude. I don't think there is a reason yet. [Unless they just like short people. That could be a reason.

Either way! He can't help but crack a grin at the pretty bad pun, nodding in agreement before he listens to Patamon's explanation. Evolving huh? So this little guy could go through some upgrades somehow. And he's from a digital world? If that's true, then how did Takeru come across him?]
A digital world huh? So that means you're made up of data or something? How come you haven't already evolved then?

[He's not too threatened by Patamon sorry to say. The next question if for either digimon or human.] And how'd you partner up with him anyway?
cresthopes: (*31)

[personal profile] cresthopes 2015-10-10 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[With that, the Digimon looked back at his partner. The blond shifted his weight a little. As much as he wanted to say something, he wasn't exactly sure how. Which was why he mumbled to himself]

He is made up of data and a bunch of other computer stuff but I don't know why he hasn't evolved yet. I don't know if it's because we're not in the Digital World anymore but I'm sure we'll find a way to evolve! If this place is suppose to be made up of a bunch of data anyway, I'm sure it won't be that difficult!

[Then Patamon just smiled] And besides, if Takeru came to the Digital World and became my partner, I'm sure there isn't anything we can't handle! And especially if he has his crest, I'll evolve into MagnaAngemon soon! And then I can give everyone a ride to wherever they want!

Just like an airplane!
zerotohiro: (Oh please)

[personal profile] zerotohiro 2015-10-12 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
[Is it weird that he sort of wants to examine the digimon a little closer and really get a sense of what he's made of? Probably. He won't admit it out loud then but instead makes note to maybe just ask Tadashi later. It's clear that the two of them are pretty close, however, and it makes him feel a little better about finding Takeru out in the jungle by himself. As far as he can tell, it's not too different from how he and Baymax operate.

Too bad the robot's battery's down.]
It might just take a little practice and tinkering. Who knows what they've done to our code? But if we're all code it shouldn't be too hard to fix.

[The idea of Patamon evolving into something that can carry people is interesting enough.] I've got a friend who can fly, too. He's...kinda resting right now though. Maybe you guys will get to meet him someday when we're out of the jungle. Were you waiting outside of ViviD for Takeru, Patamon?
cresthopes: (Étreinte)

.....That was suppose to be HolyAngemon, whoops

[personal profile] cresthopes 2015-10-13 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
[Hiro, you're going end up just like Koushirou if this keeps up. Of course, it didn't take long for Patamon to give another Air Shot to those bugs that kept bothering the poor boy. It still didn't seem to work but the boy just gave a sigh. If this was going to be how it was, then he didn't have a choice but to get use to it didn't he...?

However, he couldn't help but ponder to himself]
Are you sure? I don't really know a lot about technology but I know it's suppose to be a bunch of zeroes and ones! It doesn't look like it's really easy to fix, it all seems really confusing to me! How can you fix zeroes and ones?

[But Patamon shook his head] No, I was with him in the ViViD! But if you got a friend like that, I kind of want to meet him. Maybe he can teach me how to fly here!
zerotohiro: (Hold that thought)

I knew what you meant so we're good o/

[personal profile] zerotohiro 2015-10-14 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
[Listen, at least he's not going to wind up giving up his curiosity to an alien-Digimon, everybody's fine. He's more impressed by Patamon's design before he reaches up, using a gauntlet-covered hand to swat at the bugs that keep following the pair of them.

Maybe he should just find a giant stick to hit them with or something.]

Binary? That's just part of it. There's a lot more to coding than that. We can probably try a couple of different things when we get back. [When, not if. It's a little curious that Patamon came in with Takeru while Baymax was waiting outside ViViD for him and it makes him wonder if it's just because the little guy was already digital. That seems to make the most sense.]

Baymax is great at flying. He could probably teach you a few tricks...but he's kinda out of commission right now. [Dumb batteries. He's more nervous about that than he'd like to admit.] He should be back to normal when we get back to the colony though and then both of you can meet him. [And there's an almost-proud grin.] He's my best friend.
cresthopes: (Choquant)

/sob the joys of growing up with the English dub

[personal profile] cresthopes 2015-10-15 03:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[As Hiro managed to get some of the bugs off of the both of them, just found himself staring at the gauntlet!] Whoa, where did you get that?! That looks so cool! I don't think I've seen anything like that here!

[Of course, if he used a stick, he wouldn't get the attention he got! But oh right, the zeroes and ones!]

Binary? Coding? I don't think I really understand but I would really like to see it when we get back! It sounds a lot like something my friend would do, Koushirou-san would be pretty interested in a lot of all the technology stuff here! [Although, as that thought traced his mind, he couldn't help but wonder just how his friends were doing. Not just back home but in Cerealia too...]

Out of commission? Does that mean he's sleeping somewhere? Then where is he because it wouldn't be a good thing if he's out in the open with a lot of bugs coming to attack him!

[And especially if he's your best friend!!]
zerotohiro: (Yeeah...)

I know this pain well, friend. I really do

[personal profile] zerotohiro 2015-10-15 06:22 pm (UTC)(link)
What, this? [Please ignore the "actually sort of arrogant" tone in his voice as he holds out his hand to show him the glove-gauntlet.] I made these. Actually, I made all of this. Pretty sweet huh? [It needs upgrades desperately, but again, what Takeru doesn't know won't hurt him.] It's stuff from back home.

Kiiinda like how everything I know about coding is from home, but it's not that different. I've been figuring out some of it. Your friend sounds pretty smart, too. [A headtilt.] It's not too hard once you get the hang of it.

[Or if you happen to be a super-genius. At the question of Baymax though he laughs awkward, hand coming up to rub the back of his neck.] You could say that. But he's safe. My brother and I dragged him somewhere out of the way so he wouldn't get damaged or anything. I'll have to go back and check on him in a little while.
cresthopes: (œuf)

orlynao?

[personal profile] cresthopes 2015-10-17 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
[And that he doesn't, which makes Takeru just stare at it in awe and wonder!] Whoa, you made that? You're kidding, how can you make something that huge? You must be really smart if you can make that, I know I can't!

[Man, why is it that everyone around him were so much cooler and stronger than he is?] Then maybe you can show me how you can do all of that too whenever we get back home? Because I want to learn how! Maybe I'll be smart like you when I do know how!

[With that, the boy just blinked at Hiro and then back at Patamon] Then do you think we can meet him now? Or would that be mean since he's still sleeping?
zerotohiro: (I didn't know you were there)

I too grew up on the dub but played a japanese-version of a chosen child

[personal profile] zerotohiro 2015-10-19 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
[Takeru you are so precious Hiro's not even sure what to do. Not that the word "precious" crosses his mind, but it's endearing and that arrogance slips into something more friendly instead.] I made everything I'm wearing in my lab in my garage back home. It's just a lot of structure and design and having the right materials. My friends' suits are even cooler though. When we get back to Cerealia? Maybe we can use my brother's workshop and I can teach you some really cool stuff.

[He's not going to burst the child's bubble by saying that he highly doubts most people can be smart like he is. Maybe if he was older, but it feels a little mean when Takeru's so earnest.] I think it'd probably be better for you guys to meet when he's awake. [Sure. Sleeping. That's a good way to explain it.] He'll be a lot more active when we get back home.
cresthopes: (Pur)

Now I got to know who you RPed. Yay more Digimon Rpers!

[personal profile] cresthopes 2015-10-21 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[See that? If his eyes were any bigger, it was now! The boy just completely ignored all the bugs that use to bother him as he just circled around the taller male as he narrowed his eyes.]

If Koushirou-san were here, I bet he would be so happy to see someone could make all of this by hand! But I would love to see all the other cool stuff you have! I can't wait to tell all my friends about this whenever they get here!

[If ever. Although, he wasn't sure if he really did want them to be here. But it wasn't a selfish thing if he did right...?]

Then I'll be sure to see that he's okay in the end! If he's sleeping a lot, I bet he must be really sick so I should make him something! Like a get well gift!
zerotohiro: (Not bad)

Hahaha. I used to play a certain original goggle-child for seveeeral years in a game :D;

[personal profile] zerotohiro 2015-10-22 05:57 pm (UTC)(link)
[He knows when he's on display and so Hiro holds still, occasionally turning his wrists and such for Takeru to really look over his armor. He's proud of it, even if it could stand some upgrades.]

I think Koushirou and I would get along pretty well in that case. If he ever shows up, let me know. [Comparing notes is always fun.] Tadashi's created some really neat stuff in his shop, too. We'll take you, it'll be fine.

[That apparently doesn't bother him even if labs are usually a sacred place. Maybe it's because it's Tadashi's and not his.] I bet Baymax would love a get well present, but you should probably know that he's a robot? [Eheh.] He's a lot better and smarter than the other robots in the colony though.
cresthopes: (Anxieux)

Taichiiiiiii you are officially awesome!

[personal profile] cresthopes 2015-10-23 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
[While Takeru had seen a lot of strange things in the Digital World, there was always something just so interesting about seeing so much technology in front of him! Even if he doesn't understand it, it didn't change how cool it was!]

Well, he uh...hacked into the Digital World many times and saved us! Whenever he shows up, maybe he can do the same here too for you guys! [A pause] He can hack into Cerealia can't he?

[But the moment that he heard Baymax was a robot? His eyes widen once more!] Whoa, you didn't tell me that! Wait a minute, did you built him? If you were able to built all of this, then you can built a robot too!

Now that's just not fair, how can you be that smart to make on?
zerotohiro: ([Baymax] Nice work buddy)

:> one of my oldest and favorites tbh

[personal profile] zerotohiro 2015-10-25 05:12 pm (UTC)(link)
He can help, at least. [Because hacking into Cerealia has proven itself to be complicated. It's not impossible (yet) but it's a lot harder than Hiro ever anticipated.] We've got a long way to go before we can break into their systems.

[He doesn't look the least bit sorry when Takeru makes the connection, chuckling under his breath.] My brother built him, but I upgraded him a lot. ["And built Baymax the second time when he was lost to a portal but whatever.] It's what we do back home. We're robotic engineers and inventors.
cresthopes: (Pur)

[personal profile] cresthopes 2015-10-27 07:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Well if he ever shows up, I'm sure you two will be able to figure it out! I don't know what kind of stuff he can do but I believe in you guys!

Because the last thing we want to do is give up!

[Of course, now that he's been stuck here for quite sometime? He's not really too sure but until then?

He's too busy staring at Hiro in awe right now]
All this talk about Baymax makes me want to see him right now! I wish we weren't in a jungle right now, I could have seen him a lot sooner!

[Normally, he wouldn't be the type to whine but...who wouldn't want to see a giant robot?]
Edited (sorry for all the spam) 2015-10-27 19:27 (UTC)
zerotohiro: (This was a bad idea)

[personal profile] zerotohiro 2015-11-03 05:35 pm (UTC)(link)
It'd be nice to have another brain and set of hands to figure stuff out. [He's genuinely curious about this Koushiro guy now, but the possibility of him actually showing up? It's a little dubious. Regardless the last thing they want to do is give up. He can agree with that.]

I promise you'll get to meet him real soon, buddy. As soon as we're out of here and he's all charged up. He's going to like you very much. I'm trying to figure out a way to make him better in the jungle but it's taking a while. It's better to wait.

[Which sucks. Who wouldn't want to show off their giant robot?]
cresthopes: (Avis)

[personal profile] cresthopes 2015-11-03 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Well...if you say so. I just hope that he'll be okay somewhere. I don't know what a jungle can do to a robot but isn't it suppose to rust or something?

[At least he hopes not!]
zerotohiro: (This was a bad idea)

[personal profile] zerotohiro 2015-11-05 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Nah. Baymax's exterior is vinyl, he'll be fine. [A beat.] He might pop, but that's why we hid him somewhere else. Don't worry though. He'll be okay.
