[OPEN] Ăn Ăn Ăn
Who: Ai Thao (
emotive) & Vietnam (
hoasen) + EVERYONE NEW AND OLD. IT'S A MINGLE POST.
When: Backdated | OOC: 11/16, IC: 4/7, late at night
Where: The Sanctuary
What: Vietnam and Ai Thao decide to welcome new and old alike to the colony by making and distributing delicious foods from their country.
Rating/Warning: Food, food, and more food (and cheesy Vietnamese music?)
[The Sanctuary, being a CERES-free zone, is the first place Ai and Vietnam thought of in order to host this party. It's taken them all day and Ai was also part of the ViViD session before going to help Vietnam, so now it's quite late at night. After a long and most likely tiresome session of ViViD, anyone who's on their way back to their living quarters may notice a tantalizing aroma wafting from the Sanctuary; it's a combination of savory, meaty scents, plus... coffee? The lighting is strange too as if it's too bright, but too dim at the same time. Also this weird music is playing.
Go inside, and you'll see cooking equipment set up with Vietnam at the ready while Ai scurries about, setting up proper seating with utensils and napkins (weird, a lot of those aforementioned items are floating in the air and moving about on their own since Ai's hands are full). What's on the menu you ask? The handy sandwich board sign set up near the entrance tells you:]

[Ai is the one who pauses to greet anyone coming inside, newbies and regulars of Cerealia alike.]
Welcome! Please, help yourself! There's no charge and plenty to go around!
If you have a question about the food, you can ask me or Miss Sen!
[OOC: You can start your own top-levels and tagging around is encouraged especially since the Sanctuary as noted, is a CERES free zone, so characters can use this opportunity to relax, but also talk plot if they so wish! Or just meet new people and wonder what the hell is a grass jelly.]

You should eat it with more vegetables.
no subject
You should keep your suggestions to yourself.
no subject
You're insulting the girls who cooked the food, Saruhiko.
no subject
no subject
I know what it's like to cook!
[ this is the smartest answer ever. ]
no subject
Is that the reason you practically begged me to show up here, Misaki? So you could stand around and talk about food?
no subject
I didn't beg you to come, asshole!
[ he basically threatened you! gosh, those are two different things!!! ]
no subject
Have you learned anything useful yet?
no subject
Some people were saying we were here before.
no subject
You're going to have to explain more than that. How is it that "some people" are telling you this? Can they prove it?
no subject
I didn't ask for proof. . . [ good job, yata. but to be fair, they were women, so he couldn't... talk... much. . . cries. ] But they seemed to know me well, so.
no subject
[Still, if people could supposedly have been here and then vanished, only to reappear again... It's possible, of course, but that doesn't make it any easier to process.]
You can't just leave it hanging at that. If either of us were here before, just how well exactly did other people know you, or me? How much did we learn then forget?
[He scowls.] I'm not sure how credible this is in the first place, but being here before, forgetting... how much useful information do we have to learn all over again?
no subject
They said I was working at the flower shop with Vietnam and some others, like Celty. [ there's a bit of familiarity in his tone, but he really doesn't know either of them at all. he's just learned to believe in their words. ] I guess I'll have to ask them some more stuff.
[ about himself, anyway... celty did say that fushimi was only here for a short while. ]
And why? How much have you learned now, anyway?
[ you better share. ]
no subject
You guess? If they know things, how could you not want to find out as much as possible? Are you even going to try, here?
[He scoffs, fingers digging into the edge of the table.] It's different for me. I've been trying to learn actual facts.
no subject
I'm going to, asshole. It'll just take some time.
[ a beat. ]
And I won't ask again. What did you find out?
no subject
But really, he doesn't want Yata going off and doing anything stupid based on half-formed ideas and information he hasn't been able to verify as true. It's not going to be on him if Yata goes off and gets himself in over his head with anything.]
Not nearly enough. Since I want more than possibly made up facts it's going to take longer than a day to learn things that are actually useful.
no subject
And you'll tell me if you figure something out, right?
[ does the truce still apply while they're here in cerealia? yata seems to think so. ]
no subject
If it's important, you'll know.
no subject
his cheeks flush pink. ]
Tha- Thanks.
no subject
Don't act like it means anything. Sharing information... even an idiot might be able to come up with an idea of their own every now and then.
no subject
I'm looking forward to it, Saruhiko!
no subject
Moron.
no subject
A- Anyway, I'm going to talk to the others. I'll see you around.
no subject
Misaki.
no subject
Yeah?
