![]() Welcome to CERES Research Tower’s latest event! For all you new folk queuing outside of the conference room where you were just made to sit through a lovely power point presentation, you will be asked to stay a bit longer and test out some games in their Game Testing Center. It’s a giant space located in the basement level filled to the brim with cubicles for everyone to sit in and enjoy their newest array of pop-up games. The games themselves will be in holo(gm) form and will feature suggestions from CEO’s post, including a simplified, 8-bit version of Tetris, Baseball, Soda Smash, etc. Characters can control the game through moving their fingers and tapping them against the holo(gm) screens. Surrounding the cubicles will be tables of food and more food for characters to partake in. It’s all safe this time. No mind-altering candy corn or gut-exploding Knight Burgers. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the party. For those who have been in Cerealia for a while, they should have received an invitation to the event and an offer of 1,000 credits just for participating. So come on down and bring a friend or ten! Meanwhile, CEO has a small welcome for everyone-

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest event and intro post AND OUR VERY FIRST OVERFLOW. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing what's going on right here and feel free to consult the FAQ if needed. Please leave any lingering questions in the OOC post, and we'll answer them as soon as we can. If this post goes into overflow, we will make a new one to deal with the ever-hated captcha! Worry not! |
killua
[ She will likely track you down, because movies and bonding are serious business. Maybe your sack can come too. ]
Alright, you go on ahead.
[ She pauses to take in her surroundings. Being in a new place, she's bound to get awed by some things. While a cafe isn't exactly new, per se, it's still a different environment and she just takes a moment to get a feel of the place. Not to mention, she hasn't exactly decided what to order. ]

Hopefully the bill he's left her with won't be too much of a shock, but at least when she's done at the counter, he waves to her readily enough. Not that she probably needed him to draw the attention when the sack is there to do it for him. ]
So what'd you get?
no subject
Athena is. . . shocked, amongst other things. But she has to pay for it, anyway. She weeps for her wallet as she the cashier swipes her card. Goodbye, Cerevice. At least she had two jobs to be able to get double pay.
Still, this thievery wasn't going to bring her down. She just laughs awkwardly at the cashier, then heads to the table and sits across Killua with her own tray. There's not a lot on it, compared to the candy kingdom, anyway. It just has a slice of chiffon cake, and a large coffee mug with a mountain of whipped cream on top. ]
You must be really hungry, huh? I only got a slice of cake and hot mocha.
[ (Can a little kid even eat that much?! How many stomachs does he have?!) ]
no subject
[ Not only can and will Killua eat that much, but he's eyeing her cake with obvious interest, too. Not enough to have him make any moves on it, but more like he's maybe thinking he should have gotten a piece, too.
Oh well, he can always go back for seconds, and he cheerfully begins on his mass of sweets by popping a forkful of cake into his mouth with a happy little sigh. ]
Yours looks pretty good, too. So why'd you want company, anyway?
no subject
Don't you just feel warm when you're doing things with somebody else?
[ That just sounded like something you'd hear from a movie with princesses, but that was how she felt at that moment. She was hoping that Killua felt the same. ]
no subject
[ That whole warm and fuzzy thing, he's not going to touch on. Even though he totally feels it. But he'd sooner head back to his family for some fun, remedial torture than admit it.
He takes another bite of cake before he has to be the downer, though. ]
We're not really friends, though, you know.
no subject
[ Sad Athena in snow.
Even though she only just met Killua not more than an hour ago, she thought she had made a friend. Was there something she did wrong that he didn't want to be friends with her, or??? ]
I'm not a bad person, honest!
[ BE MY FRAND. ]
no subject
What's that got to do with it? I barely know you.
no subject
You have to start from somewhere!
no subject
[ He waves a hand — not to emphasize his point, but to snatch up a chocolate bonbon and stuff it in his mouth so he can chew it grumpily. ]
no subject
Yes it is. It's not like you were close with all your friends right away.
no subject
I knew I liked Gon from the second I met him.
[ Sorry, Athena.... But at least he's not running away from her, or anything? ]
no subject
She's never really met anyone whom she immediately liked. Did people actually make friends that way?! ]
Really? What's he like?
no subject
[ To start. Isn't she a little ashamed, approaching strange kids to accost them? ]
And he's kind of dumb, but he's great.
no subject
Kind of dumb, but great... sounds like Apollo.
no subject
[ Dumb best friend you have to look out for, he means. At least he sounds marginally more interested now. ]
no subject
[ Then again, she does have a lot of best friends... ]
He's my senior, so I guess I shouldn't call him dumb. I'd get into a lot of trouble, and he's really respectable! I guess he's more silly, than anything.
no subject
[ Killua grins. And reaches for a cookie. ]
Leorio's like that. Except he can't really get me into trouble when I call him old. He's a good guy, though.
no subject
[ She starts stirring the whipped cream and mixing it in her mocha. ]
no subject
[ He could leave it there. He could, and yet... ]
So it's really weird for some old lady like you to wanna be friends.
no subject
Her eyes flare up and it looks like she's about to fight someone. ]
Who're you calling an old lady?! I'm only eighteen!
no subject
[ Now he's just being difficult. ]
no subject
no subject
It's totally having no effect on him. None at all. Whatsoever.
Damnit. ]
Would you cut that out? It's seriously annoying.
no subject
[ She might be eighteen, but she still has tender feelings. ]
