[OPEN] fight me
Who: Sayo (
reprizesal) & you (open). Sayo and Yamato (closed).
When: IC: October 12th - 16th | OOC: August 27th - October 1st
Where: The streets of Cerealia, wherever his tiny self can walk!
What: In his fire elemental-aligned desire for an adrenaline rush, Sayo take to the streets to challenge people to a fight! After all that, he finally found and challenge Yamatonokami Yasusada...
Rating/Warning: Violence, blood, death.
► A challenger approaches! (12th - 15th) [OPEN]
[To say Sayo was restless it mildly putting it. Maybe it’s been a while since he got a clear objective, or fighting against an enemy without any sense of doubts about his position. He feels stagnant, useless and almost discontent. The simple activities he do at the apartment doesn’t satisfy him as much as he want, and he doesn’t trust ViViD right now to go there.
And he can’t seek out revenge without any information.
But what he do know was the thrill of battle.
After escaping his brother—an act that Sayo normally wouldn’t do, because of the unnecesary worry he cause—Sayo took to the streets as he looks for anyone that doesn’t look injured or otherwise can’t move properly in a fight.
Regardless of age or gender, unless he recognise them from school as fellow classmates, he walked up to someone and looked up to them.]
Excuse me. [What a polite boy, and with such an earnest, expectant look in his face.] Can you fight?
[Wait, what?]
► A Bloody Time (16th) [CLOSED]
[By now, he had gotten into a few fights already. But despite getting the battle he requested and even injuring his opponents more than he should, he’s still not fully satisfied. He need more excitement, more adrenaline to pump through his entire body. He need a stronger feeling than what his earlier challenges gave him.
There’s not many here that can give him that challenge.
But among the few that do, he knew he was still around. Sayo escaped his brother once again and go to seek out Yamatonokami Yasusada. The park, the shopping district, the dojo... He went towards where he think Yamato may be at. He haven’t seen the other sword in a while, not even when he encounter Kashuu Kiyomitsu the other day. Maybe the uchigatana was doing his own thing?
He walked away from the shopping district, looking up as he continue his search. Maybe another visit to the dojo? As he thought of that, the streets feel less busy than it normally was. It felt like the general crowd around this time was smaller than before. Not as many... it didn’t help that there seems to be an uneasy atmosphere as well. He can sense it.
And saw a familiar figure up ahead, looking as if something was troubling him. With fewer people around, he can easily Yamatonokami Yasusada without his vision being obscured. He quickly breaks off into a run towards him. Maybe it’s unnecessary, but he’s on edge long enough, and so focused on seeking new thrills, he didn’t think much of it.]
Hey!
[Hope Yamato isn't too startled by Sayo's approach.]

Hey!
[Hope Yamato isn't too startled by Sayo's approach.]
A
Right now, all she wanted to do was just do something. She didn't know what but just something, anything at all! Now that she was running outside and mumbling to herself, that was when she saw a child around.]
Uh...sure, I guess? Why do you ask?
[Not that she minded and especially if it could help with her restlessness!]
Re: A
Fighting a human child, on the other hand? Well, he'll think of it as it come.]
Do you want to fight me?
[He sounds completely serious.]
no subject
[Granted, she probably didn't really want to fight and especially not when it's somebody younger than her. Although, she wasn't going to take it seriously.
All she wanted was to get this itch inside of her out. With her grappling hook, she simply gave a smirk at him]
Come and show me what you got!
no subject
[Even with this itch, there's this thought at the back of his head that hurting someone seriously is a bad idea. Someone as small as her.
He watches her carefully, before he quickly moves forward and strikes with his sheathed sword. He didn't unsheath it, yet, just to judge her abilities.]
no subject
As soon as she saw that he was ready, she quickly got out her hook and started to aim it straight for the trees! Will he be able to catch her in time? Who knows, we'll have to see!]
no subject
So when he saw her hook, he raised his sheathed blade to block it. Hope Mabel doesn't mind punching a sword literally!]
no subject
...Because why not?]
no subject
... Only because it hits him in the face.]
What—
[It didn't hurt that much, but it still surprises him!]
no subject
And take this...!
[Although, in the back of her mind, she really hoped it didn't hurt him that much]
A
Yeah. Why?
[For now, he's not making any assumptions about the intent of that question. It seems more likely for a kid to be asking that for help with something than as a personal challenge. Still, if there's fighting involved, it might be entertaining, either way.]
no subject
Can you fight me?
[He sounds so serious about it. As if it's not strange to fight someone as small as himself.]
no subject
Heh. A kid?
[Not that that means anything; appearances can be deceiving and someone who took the form of a young boy was one of his most dangerous opponents. So it's not the horrible underestimation it sounds like. More of a warning, in his own rude way. If you're really serious about that, don't expect him to go easy just because you're little.]
no subject
[The answer came out easily, as if Sayo expected it. It's not the first time he have to say he's not just a kid, despite his appearance. He looks up at the other person, raising a brow. Is that a challenge?]
Is that a problem with you?
no subject
A sword?
[That looks like a kid. Says the pile of medals who turned human, so this isn't completely inconceivable to him, but still.]
How's that work?
no subject
I am the tsukumogami of Sayo Samonji. This... [Gestures to his very human (and small) body.] ... is the human body I was given by my master.
A | lmk if this is okay!
He tosses back a bit of advice for Sayo. "Might want to get your parents to pull out, too, shortstack."
Chihiro sticks her head back out when the man's moving on, finding herself frowning a little as she does so. Her paranoia is still latent enough she's more worried in general, less in specific, though Sayo's question is one that has her... curious, and mildly concerned. ]
Sayo-kun? [ She steps out onto the sidewalk proper again, shifting her hold on her backpack. Going out to find places to pick up packaged food and dart away again is simply how she's been living for the past two weeks, it feels like. ] Are you okay?
it's fine!
Chihiro-san?
[Despite how he feels right now, a part of him feels... glad to see her. She's still alive and doing.. fine? As far as he can see. No matter how he may feel about Cerealia as a place. Sayo blinks again, before he thinks for a moment.]
... I'm fine. I just want to do something.
[Mildly putting it.]
\o/
Do you think it's a good idea asking people you don't know to fight? That seems kind of...
[ She shows him both her empty palms, backpack hanging from her shoulders. ]
Dangerous?
/o/
He glances at her empty hands, before looking back up at her.]
That's why I ask first. I can handle things myself... but if it's too much, I can run.
no subject
[ It's really hard for her to weigh her concern for a friend (that is in turn concerning her; what if she says something and he instead lashes out at her, when he's being this irrational? but is he that irrational. why does she still feel like she might be hurt?) against her regard for the sword spirits and their abilities to take care of themselves. She truly believes in them.
And it's why the concern is there in the first place. She's seen immensely powerful spirits be laid low by things more powerful than they are. Here, she knows the Elemental Gods and the Bridge are, by certain defaults, far more powerful. That she doesn't know how to shield her friends is part of her concern. The spirit realm at least had a relatively clear path for her to follow. ]
Isn't it usually better to figure that out before you start fighting? What if you can't run? What if you get hurt? [ She shakes her head. ] Asking if someone can fight isn't really a great way of doing these things. Are none of the rest of your friends willing to um... what's the word. Mock fight?
[ ... spar. ]
A
[ but he says it in a gentle tone, reaching forward to give sayo's vengeful self a pat on the head — which obviously isn't wise, but tsurumaru has no fears. ]
Go easy on me, though. I just got back from a wonderful world.
[ from the Dead™, he means. ]
Re: A
[Obviously! Maybe one of his fellow sword comrades aren't in the mood, or they're too fatigued to fight. He wants to fight someone at their best, or close to it. Tsurumaru's status as a trusted comrade helped let him stay alive for patting his head. Sayo blinks and look up.]
What kind of wonderful world?
no subject
[ listen... despite what he's said earlier, he's capable of giving sayo a good fight if he really has to! but he has other things to tend to, and the possibility of dying again certainly won't help him tend to those things. he smiles, but there's still something sad about his expression nonetheless. ]
But, you shouldn't go to that world too often. Otherwise, you won't be able to see the ones that are waiting for you to come back.
no subject
[Because he knows a good number of them are sad for various reasons. But Sayo did see there's... something sad in Tsurumaru's expression? How strange... Sayo's already listening, but this make it seems like there's something important in it.]
... But I wouldn't go if I can't see my brother.
[Slightly guilty... about making Kousetsu worry like this. Alas, the elemental fueled recklessness almost drowned that guilty part of him.]
But... you did come back, Tsurumaru-san.
no subject
[ just gather up the entire sad sword squad into a pile of sadness, honestly... ]
I came back this time, but I don't know if I'll come back next time.
[ he shrugs his shoulders a little, but his tone remains gentle. he's not trying to actually scare sayo, after all! ]
And the same goes for you. If you make too many trips to that world, today might be the last time you'll ever see Kousetsu. Or tomorrow. Or the day after that. That wouldn't be pleasant, would it?
no subject
I can defend myself if I'm left with no other choice, but I'd prefer not to fight if I can avoid it.
[She gets the idea she'd hurt him, even without using the Force. ]
Isn't it a big risk for someone as small as you? You aren't afraid someone will hurt you?
no subject
He shake his head.]
I'm not afraid. I'm a sword, I know how to fight and defend myself. If it gets too dangerous... I can always run.
no subject
A...sword? What do you mean you're a sword?
[A few years later, and she'd likely think of Jaina and the sword nickname Luke gave her, but that's years off yet.]
I fight when I have to. Someone wouldn't want to face me if they were trying to hurt my husband or my kids. And I have killed to keep them safe. I just prefer to try and avoid it if at all possible.
Who's late? It's me. I'm late.
Apparently he was wrong.
Apparently it was the perfect place to get the jump on him, because he hears footsteps running behind him first, and then hears Sayo's voice, and his sword is drawn before he has even turned completely to face him.]
Late what late. Just... timely arrival.
He reacted and drew his sword out to hold it in front of him, defensively and on high alert.]
Yamatonokami-san?
[Sayo's voice is wary and worried, though he heard his heartbeats pounding more loudly in his chest. Seeing Yamato's sword like this reminds him of their spars. Their intense, almost practically dangerous spars...]
Perfect.
Sayo Samonji.
[Sayo Sounds wary and worried, but then so does Yamato. So basically a huge mess is brewing out of control.]
