![]() Did you think the glitches were over? Boy, were you wrong! Through the last remnants of the digital kerfluffle, the latest batch of recovered code has manifested in CERES' computer systems as the guilty parties. Yes, that's right, all incoming arrivals are now placed on the wanted list, accused of having committed the heinous crime of creating and releasing the gorg0n virus all over Cerealia. These vicious twelve have been working together all along and conspiring against CERES, and it's now up to everyone to figure out if the new arrivals are truly guilty or if they are as innocent and confused as they claim. In the meantime, CERES has dispatched assassination droids to stop the accused and bring them to justice via disembowelment. So while CERES rushes to stop the droids from committing murder, characters are perfectly welcome to a.) soil themselves b.) fight off the droids c.) run while soiling themselves or d.) cry a lot. e.) ask for assistance!

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing everyone's arrival experience and a FAQ that should explain everything in more detail. Please read them thoroughly before playing. Thank you! |

They're not ones for reasoning, unfortunately. If you let it do its task, it will probably leave you alone!
[Says the guy standing far, far back, hopefully away from the android's range. Look, he doesn't want to be touched any more than Sousei does, and can you blame him?]
no subject
As much as he'd like to, he can't claim that as a crime.
But his gaze shifts over to the other, who is standing very sensibly away from this robot, and his voice is flat and calm, as if he wasn't holding off an android with one arm on its face.]
The others I've come across have attempted to kill me. I don't intend to trust this one either.
[Even if he looks none the worse for wear... well, they have swords. Sending androids with swords after him was a gross underestimation.]
no subject
Oh! Well, if they're being dangerous, then you might try making sure it can't move. Perhaps tying it up would work?
[That seems like a decent idea to him, but it doesn't satisfy his robot grudge.]
Or you could break it, but they might ask for money to fix it...
[No, no, now we're in terrible idea territory.]
no subject
For his part, rather tired of fending off this costumed monstrosity, Sousei just neatly sidesteps it, allowing its momentum to carry it into a wall.
He'll just watch it as it sets to standing back up then, rather flatly--]
If they did not wish for their creations to be broken, they should not have set them on us like this without warning or explanation. [That much he feels strongly about.
So when it next comes at him, he'll avoid it again, and then bring his still sheathed sword down on the legs, one after another. There's a truly horrible metallic noise, but at the very least, the robot can't stand up and go after them now. It's...kind of a pitiful sight, on the ground like that.]
no subject
That was very impressive!
[He claps, politely, as if that whole thing was a show put on for his amusement. But he stops after a few seconds, because there's a more serious issue at hand here.
Basically: do the robot owners have insurance?]
But you may want to run, before they catch you. The oddness of the machines recently is because of some criminal, and breaking them might make you more suspicious!
no subject
More importantly--]
I am not going to run from the consequences of my actions. [Why would he even do that.
This is how un-criminal he is.] They have no evidence against me, as I've committed no crime. If that does not matter, then my actions will also not matter.[Basically if they're set on calling him a criminal even without evidence, they'll call him a criminal no matter what he does, so...yolo.]
no subject
Is breaking the belongings of the people in charge without permission not a crime where you come from?
[Don't get him wrong, here. He doesn't think Sousei was at all unjustified in what he did. He just doesn't enjoy getting in trouble for that kind of thing, and if there's a place where you can get away with it, he'd love to visit.]
Even so, it will be easier to continue on without being bothered if you aren't here when they investigate! If you weren't wrong, you don't have any need to stay and explain yourself, after all.
no subject
Sometimes, the people in charge have things that need to be broken.]
Probably. [He doesn't care.] I won't stay here long regardless. If there are others that can't defend themselves, then... [well.] I'll be breaking more belongings.
no subject
[He pauses, tapping his chin with one finger as he thinks this over. Should he dissuade Mr. Straightlaced, or not? Is it worth it?]
So long as you don't get caught, I won't say anything about it. They don't deserve any help keeping their machines intact, when they can't even control them properly.
[So, he's kind of agreeing to be an accessory in Sousei's crime. Whether this is a good or a bad idea remains to be seen, but there's no love lost between himself and the robots.]
no subject
Probably.
But in response, Sousei simply inclines his head, understanding.]
Very well. ...It is appreciated. [Just that he's not going to go blabbing and trying to get more trouble happening, since other people have been Problems.
He still has to go help other people, but he can at least pause for this.]
...My name is Abe no Sousei. [Nice to meet you, not-as-troublesome-as-you-could-have-been.]
no subject
Because he's being treated politely, he doesn't see anything wrong with this, so he smiles.]
It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Sousei.
[He puts one hand on his chest and bows shallowly, straightening up before continuing.]
My name is Cynbel Lightfoot.
no subject
In this unusual place.
Sousei should probably stop judging things by his own standards at some point, he's rapidly realizing. There's a pause while he works out that name. Cynbel...Lightfoot. Right. Okay.]
Very well then. [They've exchanged pleasantries, and now he should probably keep moving.]
Perhaps we may talk again at greater length when this has been resolved. For now, however, I believe I should continue.
[You know, murdering assassinbots, causing property damage issues, etc.]
no subject
Oh, certainly. I wouldn't want to keep you from your task.
[Smashing robots is a very, very valuable public service in his eyes, so he won't hold Sousei up, if he needs to be going.
He backs off, moving to walk towards an exit, waving a hand as he goes.]
Until next time, Mr. Sousei. In the meantime, do try to not get arrested!
no subject
And then, easy as can be, he turns on his heel and strides off.
Onwards to more property damage...!!]
