[Rock Lee happens to be at the general store, collecting groceries. There's seemingly a number of normal products in his shopping cart... but then there's also massive amounts of packages of floss. In fact, he even seems to be intensely flossing as he waits in line and focusing on his canines. What could it mean...?

Or you could find him at a clothing store, staring at the variety of neckwear.]

B. CERES Gym

[Another day at the gym. He's been working harder ever since he lost his job at the sports store. Here at the gym, he acts as a martial arts instructor. But, he's dealing with a problem passed down by whoever his boss happens to be: apparently some of his students have complained about his workouts being too intense. He has to do something to amend that.]

For fellow instructors

[If Rock Lee sees anyone else who teaches at the gym, he will handstand-run right at them.]

Excuse me!! I would like a moment of your time, please!

For students or anyone else

[Once he sees anyone he's trained with, or someone who looks like a potential new student, he will try greeting them with a meek wave. Can he keep down the intensity?!]

C. Ramen Place

[Rock Lee is taking orders at the same ramen place where Naruto works.]

Would you like anything, esteemed customer?! I can guarantee that our curry ramen will make you feel more lively than ever!!

Feel free to run into him somewhere around the residential, shopping and/or entertainment districts!

Oi oi! Easy on the volume! I don't think I've ever seen someone who enthusiastic about ramen before.

I have a strong passion for my job. It cannot be helped! Isn't it splendid to make such foods and make others happy with it?!

Enthusiasm isn't a bad thing, especially if you enjoy what you're doing.

Just be enthusiastic in the opposite direction. Y'know. Away from my ears.

Yes, sir! [He then turns around entirely and continues talking.]

Please!! I'd like to know your order!

[. . . pffffft. with a shake of his head, Kaito crosses his arms and leans against the ordering counter]

Tell me about the curry ramen. How spicy is it?

[he was feeling adventurous today]

As spicy as it needs to be! I've been thinking up every way I can to improve on that youthful sensation!

[slams a hand (lightly) against the counter, determined]

Sold! Serve me up one of those. How can I pass up on a pitch like that one?

Yes!! [He's so excited, that he gives a very hard slam against the table to match it, and he beams brightly.]

I'll make sure that it's ready as soon as possible, sir!!

Don't wear yourself down trying to make it too quickly, now. I'm in no hurry.

Ah... I promise!! I won't wear myself down this easily! I'll do my best!! [He then dashes over to prepare it.]

I believe in you! I believe there is no better ramen cook in the entire whatchamacallit town we're in!

[encouragement. . .!]

[meanwhile kaito idly wonders if this guy cooks as enthusiastically as he takes customer orders]

Ah...! With your belief powering me, I know I'll do my best!!

[His voice echoes, and from the sounds that are very audible from the kitchen area?! Yes, yes it does seem like he's cooking very enthusiastically.]

[don't mind Kaito as he strikes up idle conversation while Rock Lee cooks]

What made you decide to take a job working at a noodle shop, anyway? I mean, CERES must've given you other options when you got here, right?

That's right! [He shouts back as he cooks, as if this is a normal way to converse.]

CERES offered me three jobs, and I took them all! To work at such a place as this... There is a nice ramen stand in my home village, so it seemed like a nice idea to work in one! I also wanted to hone my skills in cooking... and Naruto-kun works here as well, so we also got to experience the bond of being coworkers!

[cue impressed whistle]

How'd you manage that? You'd spend all day working and wouldn't have time to do anything fun.

I took special time management training!! ...And also my employers were generous in arranging my shifts and not making me work on every single day!

[And since one of his jobs is as a martial arts trainer at the gym, he gets to do a lot of what he would be doing in his free time anyway there.]

...A-and now, it is only two jobs!

I am ashamed to say...

...that I lost it recently.

Eh? Oh, uh. . . I'm sorry. That sucks.

[he puts it bluntly]

But you've got two others to fall back on, so it can't be that bad! Right?

[Some quick, chipmunk-like nods from the cooking area.]

That's right! And I love both of these jobs! Ah... thank you so much for being so supportive!!

Well, I'm not gonna be unsupportive. 'M not that rude.

[only slightly rude. he gives a curious headtilt]

What is your other job, anyway?

That is very thoughtful of you!

As for my other job... I instruct martial arts! At the CERES Gym!

Now that sounds like a job that accommodates your burning enthusiasm. [he teases]

What kinda martial arts?

[He nods and assumes a fighting pose.]

The school of fighting that I know... It is called taijutsu!

Hand-to-hand combat, then.
