Gardens:

[ Kousetsu is probably one of the few people who takes his job here seriously so you know. If you happen to be perusing the gardens on this fine day you will see a tall man with a cascade of blue hair tending to the more exotic and interesting flowers. His sword isn’t readily at his side for the time being, but it’s on the ground near his workplace. He’ll be planting and carting flowers around all day and maybe even give people some who ask him nicely for them.

Or, you know, if he happens to have extra and no more space left he might just walk up to you, serious face and all, and hold out some flowers for you to take. Kousetsu, no, that is giving the totally wrong impression. ] ...would you like some? They need a...good home to go to.

Shopping District

[ Kousetsu is…kinda lost and mildly fascinated with everything. Mainly he’s focusing on staring into the windows of clothing stores today. Every day it’s a new venture for him. He’s not too sure about the clothing in these places though. It was far out of his league and way too different from his own garb. But he does look curiously into each new store wondering exactly if he should just go and try things on… ]

Game Center

[ After his work is done for the day and he’s heading back home he will…probably get lost at some point. Listen he’s not used to all these fancy lights and stuff, okay? He’s a bit mesmerized by them actually. He’ll wind up at the game center at some point. He kinda looks like a character out of a game, what with his bright pale blue hair, priest robes, and sword at his side. He’ll look around before going inside and just…wow, what is all of this. He’s heard the Saniwa talk about these things before but he’s never seen any of it in real life. Is this what entertainment consists of in modern times? He might…go up to a machine and just touch it to get a feel for it. If you’re nearby he will turn to you with his normal expression of seriousness. ]

How does one…go about using this? [ Yes, good job Kousetsu, you sure are making progress with your choice of questions. ]

Food Stop (with Souza!)

[ They both stand out super easily because it’s like walking pair of cartoon characters. With hair the color of cotton candy the two Samonji brothers are coming back from a mission today. After having done some shopping they’ll be perusing the stalls and stands for some tasty food to bring back to the apartment. Souza might be further on ahead than Kousetsu but the older brother will hurry along to catch up with the other. Safe to say if you want to bug them and get them to try weird foods, now is your chance. ]

Marketplace (with Souza and Tsurumaru!)

[ They look like a walking boy band but do not be deceived. They are anything like what their looks suggest. A white, pink and blue haired man walk into a bar…

No but really what exactly is Tsurumaru up to?! Nothing, yet, but Souza and Kousetsu are his ~~chaperones~~ guides today as they all take a walk through the marketplace to look at the trinkets and things held within it. You might even get lucky and have the crap scared out of you by Tsurumaru, WHO KNOWS. ]

[you okay there, new tenant... Sousei is walking through on his way home from work, but it's really hard to miss that tall frame and that blue hair. So he approaches, tilting his head slightly.]

Kousetsu.

[What's up, bro, you look confused.]

Are you looking for something?

[ He'll straighten when that voice asks him from behind. He'll turn with his usual features of being emotionless. A curt nod of his head indicating no. ]

I am...simply looking at the Western style of clothing here. It is...very different than what I am used to.

[Ah...yes. He knows that struggle.]

I can't say that I'm particularly well-versed in Western fashion even now.

[...still...]

I can share what I have learned, however.

[ Then they can struggle together because Kousetsu looks entirely perplexed and lost on the matter. What are jeans. ]

...I would be most appreciative of that, Sousei-san. [ He bows his head in agreement as he looks back inside one of the windows. ]

Some of the others back in the Citadel wore such attire. I am not unfamiliar with how it works. But I have never...tried it on for myself.

... Nonetheless, it will be necessary here. If nothing else, it is easier to come by, and is therefore more suitable to be everyday wear.

[He knows, he'd wear traditional clothing if he could, but there's....a sad lack of it.....]

The quickest way to understand it will be to try it for yourself.

...yes. But...I do not really know what to try. [ He doesn't even know where to begin. The lack of traditional clothing though is...troublesome if only because Kousetsu is used to the feel of it. ]

Where do you and Tenka-san usually go?

For now, though, it's enough to lead Kousetsu to the clothing store.]

[ He really does appreciate it, even if his face...says otherwise?! He'll follow the other man watching and looking around at the shops as they pass by. ]

It...does not seem much different than the others. But I will take your choices into consideration.

[ He doesn't know where to start. What are all these styles and various colors. He'll peer at some of them through the window, noting the various names and categories given to them. ] ...I am not familiar with these styles. What is the difference between boot cut and straight fit?

There's no need to thank me for this. It is only to be expected that you will be unfamiliar to start.

[He...sure was......

.... but yeah even so, he's still...not quite....

A faint sigh, and he gestures to the bottom of the jeans.]

They describe the different styles of pants. There appear to be a great many of them.

[Sousei wears slacks 90% of the time, and doesn't bother with it at all.]

If you need more information than that, there are people who know better than me here.

...I see. [ It's not that jeans were entirely unfamiliar to him. any of the others in the Citadel wore them. But he's never...really bothered to look at styles? Yeah. Robes really were only in few styles as it were so he can't say he's familiar with the concept entirely. Though he assumes that boot cut is made for people who wish to wear boots or similar footwear with that style of pants. ]

I think I will...simply look for now. [ He's too unsure to really try anything on himself. Still he will keep the information in the back of his mind for a later time. But either way he'll turn to Sousei with a curious look. ]

Was there...anywhere you wished to go? [ Before Sousei stopped to help him out that is. ]

No. I was on my way home at the time.

[So he has no problems with babysitting swords, especially swords whose company he really doesn't mind at all.

Souza is decent company as well, honestly, but Kousetsu... well, he's got a similar mindset and energy level to Sousei himself. It makes it easy.]

If you are not opposed to company, I'll stay.

...no. That is fine. I do not...mind your company Sousei-san. [ Kousetsu is of a similar sentiment. Sousei reminded him of his past masters with the air of calm he projected at times. It was comforting to know that someone like that was around. He nods his head in agreement before looking around the large, bustling, shopping district. ]

I...was going to get ingredients for dinner as well. [ So shall they head out then? ]

[Well, it is nice to hear that they feel the same way about spending time together. Sousei really does need more sensible and calm people in his life--he feels like he's constantly surrounded by people who go 2x faster than he does.]

Very well then.

[Clothes later; at least Kousetsu has an idea of where to look. As for dinner--]

What are we looking for? [how do you......ingredients...]

[ Clothes definitely later. He will tackle that hurdle another day. But for now...food! Kousetsu will start off towards the marketplace. There was a wide selection of fresh foods to buy and cook there at least. ]

Noodles. Rice. Vegetables and some type of meat. [ He'll look over at the other man. ]

What would you...prefer to eat tonight Sousei-san?

[him...? He's never been a particularly picky eater, eating what was pretty much the equivalent of the Yamainu's rations.... and their not-so-good cooking. So really, having Kousetsu and Souza around has been a godsend.

Traditional Japanese food.

It's glorious.

So he shakes his head at that, simply.]

I am not picky; anything will suit. Perhaps fish? [it's a staple, and everything that reminds him of home is a good thing.]

Kamameshi should suffice then. [ It was a pretty tasty and filling dish that was for a person individually. Kousetsu will nod as he goes over the items in his head. ]

[deli...cious....... he's so happy to have proper traditional, homemade Japanese food again it's been so long........

He's.

Really happy.... even if it doesn't show on his face.]

...Yes, that sounds acceptable. The work that you and Souza do is appreciated.

[ He might be just a tad bit happy at that praise. Even if he's not registering that emotion as such. Still Sousei's words make him nod his head. ]

...thank you for saying so, Sousei-san. It is...fulfilling to know that we can help out around the house. [ Kousetsu enjoys doing chores after all, so he's never had a problem with keeping on top of them. ]

[Fulfilling, huh... he doesn't know how, exactly, but it's not like he's going to disparage Kousetsu's honest feelings. Instead, he nods simply, accepting.]
