![]() So you've been introduced to the wonderful world of Tellus, and now, you're wondering where to go. Never fear, for the wonderful CEO and his team of supportive companions have ensured that you won't be completely lost! Heading towards the residential district, you find yourself facing some lovely hovering signs directing you to the large, beautiful dome garden in the center of the district. It's a rather large and intriguing location, and it's so huge that you may need to get a bike or transport to get where the arrows are pointing you to. Still confused? No trouble! The cute androids are willing to walk you there, or point you to the garden carts to transport you around. Once you get to the flower garden in the eastern garden sector, you'll find a large and flowery ground with pretty streams against the backdrop of the high rises of the city where a Job Fair will currently be held. This is where you'll be getting a look at the very many jobs available within the Colony, and these are just a few to start off with! Of course, that's not all to do here. Feel free to make your way around and see if you can find someone you know, or stop by the food stalls where a variety of meals to tempt you are around. Take some to your new residential spaces, and be sure to try the special delicacy of the planet, "Knight Burgers" are being served. The "Garden Burgers" are the vegetarian option, so don't miss out! Meanwhile, your resident CEO is clad in an apron, happily grilling away and handing out succulent burgers to his new arrivals. He holds out a single burger on a spatula with a smile, waiting for it to be accepted. |

Welcome to CEREALIA's Official Intro Log. Please forgive our appearance as we are still going through the final stages game completion… mostly fighting with table codes. While most pages are under development and/or hidden from the public eye, please don't feel discouraged, since knowing everything doesn't always make the experience. Your characters will know as little as you. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing everyone's arrival experience. Please read that and this ooc post thoroughly before playing. Thank you! |
phase iv
She nods, waiting until her mouth isn't full to return the sentiment. ]
Yeah, definitely! It's just as good as the ones back home.
[ That makes her heart sink, but she doesn't show it; she's far too tired to show it anyway. ]
no subject
I would be vastly disappointed if it was different then what I'm used to back home. I couldn't imagine a summer without it.
[ even though so many had to do without during the war, simple luxurious like this was a treat well worth waiting for. ]
no subject
[ She flashes her a grin, implying that ice cream eating doesn't stop at 'summertime' for her. There is never an occasion where she doesn't eat ice cream, no matter how chilly it gets. ]
Still, it's... nice of them to have it here. With the way this place is, you'd almost expect 'em to have astronaut food or somethin'.
no subject
I'm afraid I wasn't sure what to expect after that presentation, but if they can manage to pull so many of us out of their records, I suppose it would be just as easy to do so with other things as well.
[ she paused and then looked ruefully down at her own ice cream. ]
Although it almost makes one wonder if what we're seeing and eating here is actually real or not, doesn't it?
[ but it certainly tasted real enough and for now, that would have to do. ]
no subject
Well... [ She looks back up at her, shrugging. ] We're getting full, aren't we? That has to mean something.
no subject
Indeed! I actually can't wait to see what's on the menu tomorrow. It's been quite some time since I've been able to relax like this.
[ which is perhaps exactly why she feels so tense. But... ]
Where do you suppose we'll be going to after this? We can all stand around eating ice cream forever.
[ as much as that sounds like a pity. ]
no subject
Mn, me too... but I—I'm not really sure myself. I'm not sure of a lot of things anymore.
[ The last part makes it sound like she's tired, though the gentle smile hasn't faded. It's too much to think about right now, so she has another spoonful of ice cream. It gives her a chance to think the question over for herself. ]
no subject
I think that will be true for most of us for some time to come. [ she sighed, losing the smile for a moment as she glanced around the others who had been pulled haphazardly into this strange new world. ]
I suppose the first order of business should be finding somewhere to sleep. I think I was told that we had the choice of any apartment we found although I find that a little odd. I'm starting to believe we might be the only one's in this colony.
{ other then the androids, other then this Viscere fellow. Of course, it's a little hard to tell who is real and who is not. ]
no subject
[ The details mesh together with no real time to sort them out; she listened carefully to the presentation, but there are far too many things happening for her to process immediately. It's more than Pizzazz's schemes or Eric's plans gone sour. There are entire worlds at stake and she's somehow managed to find herself to be alive after all the horrific things she's seen and been through with no real explanation of what exactly happened at that camp.
The thought of it causes her to feel anxious once more, so she takes another bite of ice cream to calm herself down. ]
There's not much else we can do except find a place to stay while we wait.
no subject
Yes, well. I'm sure half the reason they brought us here is because they're hoping we'll either fight for their cause or aid in the effort to figure out a way to counter these Flamines. A handful can do much, but even not even a handful can do everything.
I'm sure we'll settle into our new roles in a few days.
[ or at least pretend to, which means... ] Perhaps once we're done with our dessert, you'd care to take a walk with me? There's no sense in wasting time finding a place to stay when I'm sure we could all use the rest. And if there's two of us, perhaps we'll find these apartments faster then if it's just one of us alone.
[ or at least it'll be more interesting, Peggy can always take a full tour of the city later. ]
no subject
Still, it makes her wonder, and she can hear Pizzazz's voice telling her that that's her problem: she thinks. It's a short-lived contemplation as Peggy's question pulls her from her reverie. It's such a simple request and of course it's a good idea to scope out the place if they're going to be living here for some time, but something inside her appreciates it more than she can show right now.
Mary relaxes and then nods. Her eyes light up a little bit. ]
Yeah... that'd be great. We probably should figure out where they are before this thing ends anyway.
no subject
I'm sure they won't leave us stranded, but it can't hurt to show a little initiative now and then I've found. It will be interesting to see what kind of place they have prepared for us. Did you happen to see the HOLOgm booth? It rather seems like the possibilities are endless.
no subject
[ She's reminded of the pamphlet that she received; it promised a getaway, a relaxing vacation, and taking that bait is what threw her into a revenge game. It spills into her fascination like oil in the ocean, tainting everything that was once good and beautiful — everything she once found a comfort. Mary tries to think of it as just reasonable paranoia, but that horrid feeling twists and turns in her stomach and she can't ignore it. She shies away a bit. ]
Ah... guess we should look for where to live first before we start thinking of that.
no subject
Indeed, I've only just been introduced to the idea of a flying car; imagining that someday anything we'd wish for could be available at our fingertips just makes me think I might be dreaming.
But you're quite right; there's little sense in decorating before we even have a place to decorate. Shall we get going?
[ she assumes that Mary was, all things considered, but it's still polite to ask. ]
no subject
Even flying cars... they only showed up in movies in my world and it makes you wonder if the year 2000 is really like that, you know? But, I don't think they said what year it is here... if they even have years.
no subject
That's a question I'd dearly love an answer to myself. Although, if what another one of our friends in this new situation can be trusted, it would seem it's at least past the year 2013. Sadly, we seem to be lacking in flying cars still. Perhaps our new host will be kind enough to introduce one to us.
[ at least do it for a lark, Julius Vincere. It's just a small favor to ask. ]
no subject
We'd probably have to get brand new licenses for those, don't you think? Levitation's harder to control.
[ She sounds like she's assured of that... almost like it's actually happened to her at some point in her life. ]
no subject
[ she shook her head and then laughed ]
I suppose we would need to update our credentials while we're here. Perhaps they'll give us a crash course in basic aeronautics as well unless the pilots' assister been developed enough to take care of that for us now. I imagine just about anything should be possible in a place like this after what we've seen.
no subject
She understands that this entire place is a culture shock to a lot of people, including Mary herself, and that there's not exactly subtle, unassuming suburbs outside of Cerealia. There's no judgement on her end, seeing as she honestly would like something less blatant herself. ]
Credentials? Are you a pilot?
no subject
[ Said so casually it almost hurts, but Peggy's seen her fair share of oddities this day and surely this was no more then just another. It's best to own up and keep it brief before saying too much. Confidences aren't grown in a day after all. ]
Shall we keep looking?
no subject
[ She offers a sad smile, idly wondering if she's on the lines of that said war. It's not like her to pry and Mary certainly doesn't want to talk about what's happened to her the past week for the same reasons. She can tell this woman isn't comfortable about bringing up anything else, so she leaves it there and nods.
Mary takes one last amused look at the lobby, before she continues down the street. She's captivated by all the surrounding stores that make it feel so much like home, even if it is futuristic. ]
no subject
Sorry, you're perfectly right of course. If it isn't war, it's something else entirely. At least with war you know who the real bad guys are.
[ At least for now. Later, once the political infighting began, it would be much, much more difficult. Pausing in front of a quiet looking building near the end of the block, Peggy smiled and then laughed softly. ]
At least this place still knows how to treat a woman. I'm glad to see that flower shops are not a thing of the past.
[ and that will certainly help turn whatever apartment Peggy decided to call her own more of a home. It was the little things that mattered, after all. ]
no subject
By the sign of her throat constricting, it's still too much for her to think about right now. She pushes it away and tries not to dig her nails into her palms as she focuses on the flower shop before them. Her own daisy continues to rest in her soft curls and knowing that she can find the perfect one's to match her future outfits is a common reminder of home. It makes her feel less nervous. ]
Maybe they've got a space above the store for rent? That way you'd always have flowers.
