![]() So you've been introduced to the wonderful world of Tellus, and now, you're wondering where to go. Never fear, for the wonderful CEO and his team of supportive companions have ensured that you won't be completely lost! Heading towards the residential district, you find yourself facing some lovely hovering signs directing you to the large, beautiful dome garden in the center of the district. It's a rather large and intriguing location, and it's so huge that you may need to get a bike or transport to get where the arrows are pointing you to. Still confused? No trouble! The cute androids are willing to walk you there, or point you to the garden carts to transport you around. Once you get to the flower garden in the eastern garden sector, you'll find a large and flowery ground with pretty streams against the backdrop of the high rises of the city where a Job Fair will currently be held. This is where you'll be getting a look at the very many jobs available within the Colony, and these are just a few to start off with! Of course, that's not all to do here. Feel free to make your way around and see if you can find someone you know, or stop by the food stalls where a variety of meals to tempt you are around. Take some to your new residential spaces, and be sure to try the special delicacy of the planet, "Knight Burgers" are being served. The "Garden Burgers" are the vegetarian option, so don't miss out! Meanwhile, your resident CEO is clad in an apron, happily grilling away and handing out succulent burgers to his new arrivals. He holds out a single burger on a spatula with a smile, waiting for it to be accepted. |

Welcome to CEREALIA's Official Intro Log. Please forgive our appearance as we are still going through the final stages game completion… mostly fighting with table codes. While most pages are under development and/or hidden from the public eye, please don't feel discouraged, since knowing everything doesn't always make the experience. Your characters will know as little as you. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing everyone's arrival experience. Please read that and this ooc post thoroughly before playing. Thank you! |
phase iii
[ Mary hits the ground with a thud, feeling the weight of her body rest heavily on her hands when she catches herself. The wind is knocked out of her (how?) and she looks like she's about to give whoever crashed into her a piece of her mind — even in the afterlife there has to be people who aren't watching where they're going — but she looks up.
Her angered expression forms into a look of surprise. Here she was thinking she's all alone, amongst the ghosts of unrecognizable faces without a single person to turn to even after Youmu's promise, and her whole perception of this world shifts immediately into something different. Her voice catches in her throat, still winded by the fall. ]
J... Jason?
no subject
But the pain fades more quickly than he expects, since that voice immediately draws him out of that pain with surprise. His eyes snap open, and even though the view is upside down, it's unmistakeable. ]
Mar—
[ He rolls over so that he's kneeling instead, even though ow, that hurts his ribs, but he pushes that aside, at least. ]
Mary? That's— [ Impossible? Well, no, it's not, he guesses, since she was dead too. Maybe this really was some weird, fucked up sci-fi heaven. ]
Mary, it's you, ain't it?
no subject
She nods, looking at him with concern. ]
Have you...?
[ The words escape her and fall into the dark metaphorical gutter of fear until she fishes them out again. She smoothes the creases of the sentence out in her head, listening to it echo there before she asks it aloud. Mary is breathless and it's no longer because of the impact. ]
Have you seen anyone else...?
no subject
[ Jason has to pause, breathing out a laugh, because he's not sure what else to do. He's happy to see her, he really is, but that just makes everything else more confusing, doesn't it? ]
Ran into Nagoya earlier. The son of a bitch pushed me right into a tree, but— [ He shakes his head and reaches out to touch her shoulder tenuously. It's gentle for him, like he's afraid if he touches her, she'll just disappear right under his hand. ]
This ain't a dream, is it? You're really... You're really here? All three of us, we're alive, ain't we?
no subject
All that happens is his hand connecting with her shoulder and relief floods her, making her feeling like everything that's happened isn't as pointless as she thinks. Her hand reaches to rest on his forearm, realizing how ridiculous this must look with the both them on the ground right now. Mary's not very sure she cares. She gives it a squeeze, saying more in that action than words ever could. ]
Nagoya...? [ It takes her awhile to get what he means, but she leans in. There's a tinge of fear in her excitement. ] You mean— Naoi?! But if he's here... how are we alive? We...
no subject
It might not be appropriate, but he doesn't even think of that, or that he might get smacked. He half leans closer and half pulls Mary closer until he hugs her. Even at the end, where they got to say their goodbyes, he hadn't allowed himself this because he was still selfishly just dealing with his own death. ]
God, I'm sorry, Mary. I shoulda been able to make sure you were alright.
[ His eyes feel hot, but he just tries to ignore that, since he doesn't want to cry in front of someone else. ]
I'm so glad to see you, and Nagoya too. We're... Well, fuck, I don't know if we're alive, but it sure does feel like it.
no subject
She's reminded of Craig, who always did his best to protect her, who helped her realize who she is and what she deserves and Jason's words hit her far deeper than she expects. She misses her brother so much and knowing she can't return makes her heart ache harder. Her voice is shaky, voice muffled in his shoulder as she buries her face into it. Her throat hurts like she's going to cry, but she's so exhausted that she can't. She knows that's what's in store for her later.
Her arms wrap around him as tightly as they can. ]
You— did all you could.
[ 'There's no way we could have known' she wants to say or 'It's not out fault we couldn't know how to come back', but the words have an ever harder time coming out. She wants him to know she doesn't blame him, she's not sure who she blames. She sniffles and lifts her head up, resting her chin pitifully on his shoulder. ]
Something's different. Like now that we've been there... [ She's hesitant to even say 'the afterlife.' ] Coming here feels like... it really feels like being alive again. I dunno how to explain it.
no subject
Not wanting to linger with this hug to the point that it would become weird, he pulls back, then reaches up to rub at his face. He really hates crying, especially in front of people he likes, but it's a little hard to hide it now. ]
Yeah... Yeah, I know what you mean.
[ He sighs heavily to compose himself a bit more, then rubs at his nose too. ]
I mean, I don't got a clue how to explain it neither, but that's not sayin' much. Nagyoa seemed to have a better idea, but that's 'cus he's smart. He might be able to explain stuff better.
no subject
She sniffles again, brushing away any tears that have decided to form in her eyes and gives a couple of nods. ]
After I... [ She stops, lets the silence permeate for some seconds, and then starts again. ] When he and I were there watching you and everyone else... he knew what he was saying about how it all works. He'll definitely be able to help us.
no subject
[ It seems to dawn on him what just happened too, so Jason starts to stand, though he offers his hand to Mary as he does so. ]
Aw, man, I'm real sorry for runnin' into you, by the way. I saw, shit, I dunno, I saw somethin' messed up back there.
no subject
She looks over his shoulder to where he was running before he ran into her then looks back to him. Those words don't settle well with her, she almost expects him to say what she doesn't want to hear. Her body tenses up. ]
What—What do you mean 'something messed up'?
no subject
I don't really know. One of the, uh, trees, they just flickered like you know how lights flicker when you need to change the bulb? Like that. But I saw Sook's face in there, then just kind of...
[ Followed it here. Belatedly, it occurs to him that he broke horror movie rule #1. ]
Shit, that was a fuckin' dumb thing to do. [ At least he knows it. ] I just kinda followed it here, then I don't even know how to explain what happened. I saw my Gran's house, where me and Sook grew up, but then everything got all messed up.
no subject
Messed up how? What happened?
no subject
[ He trails off uncertainly, then runs a hand through his hair as he glances back. Jason has never been great at explaining supernatural phenomena with anything more than a string of expletives, so bear with him as he tries. ]
Like, it was Gran's, but then this—shit, I dunno—This shadow or somethin' came out of it, and there were big fuckin' teeth, like a gator or somethin'.
no subject
Maybe... we should think about sticking together? The three of us, I mean. Until we figure out what this place is. For all we know...
[ She trails off, afraid to add to the rest of that. If she says the thought aloud — that this may just be another one of those 'games' — then it might come true. It's silly, but she still refuses to finish the statement. ]
no subject
...Yeah. Yeah, I think that's probably a good idea.
[ He's just uncertain because he's worried about the same, that this might be another game. ]
We get houses or somethin', right?
no subject
[ She looks up and around, trying to find something that resembles an apartment complex. The city's not that different than Los Angeles, just... with holograms added in. All of it is so hard to believe, despite witnessing time travel herself. It's what she expects the year 2000 to look like, but she's actually existing within it rather than imagining it.
She looks back at him, trying to offer some kind of smile. ]
But something tells me there aren't many suburbs here.
no subject
[ He rubs the back of his head with a thoughtful expression, since Bon Temps wasn't exactly populated enough to have apartments. That was something you found out closer to Shreveport. It wasn't like getting a house was expensive in his town, considering he had gotten one on a construction worker's salary, but... ]
I mean, you okay with that? Me and Nagoya is one thing, and account of us both bein' dudes, but last girl I lived with was my sister. [ he's really used to the bachelor lifestyle... ]
no subject
The last guy I lived with was my brother...
I guess if it's big enough for all of us, it could work? Or we can find a place where I can stay in an apartment that next to you and Naoi.
no subject
[ But he says so in a good-natured, teasing sort of way. It's hardly that he wants to kick Mary out (far from it), but. He knows how he is... And who knows how Naoi is. ]
I dunno how it works, but we can try, yeah?
no subject
[ Still, her nervousness at the prospect is obvious. If CERES brought them here, then surely they were expecting apartments to be available for rent...? Mary's usually a responsible adult, but being thrown into everything is really throwing her off her game. She laces her fingers together and tries not to twist them. ]
no subject
[ He shrugs, then starts to walk out of the alley with her, since they shouldn't linger here, probably. ]
Can't be that hard, right?
no subject
[ She tries to smile, offering up a joke, but her stomach still twists and turns five different ways. Her nervousness is only slightly apparent as she attempts to hide it the best she can... which isn't very easy at all. ]
no subject
We'll figure it out, don't worry. We can manage.
no subject
Maybe when she finds Naoi, things will start to make more sense. ]
