![]() A few weeks prior to December 26th, an invitation went out to all whom already reside in Cerealia. In delicate, curling script, it read: You are cordially invited by Natalia L.K. Lanvaldear to a Winter Ball to be held on the Eve of December 26th in the Gardens. Dress in your best attire and enjoy a magical evening of dance and fine cuisine. What do you mean we should fuss about worlds being destroyed? Get into the holiday spirit, you scrooge! And in regards to the new-comers: whether you have been wandering Cerealia over the course of the past few days and managed to receive one of the later waves of invitations or have simply suddenly appeared in the gardens with nothing but the (hopefully…. appropriate….) clothes on your back, welcome. The gardens have been transformed through the work of

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post! This one is player-run and all the basics have been laid out for you here. Absolutely feel free to come up with your own prompts, I just attempted to set the scenery! For your convenience, I whole-heartedly welcome questions and inquiries being directed to my attention here and I'll answer them to the best of my ability! |

Like someone who just arrived and this place is already too loud and crowded, and while there's been food and drinks and some conversations...he could use a break. So gardens it is. Gardens are supposed to be places of peace and quiet, right?
Except not.
That's...disturbing. Trees are supposed to stay still, not...be intimate with people. This isn't his business, but...excuse him for stepping in. ]
I can hold that. [ He points to the glass in Sousei's hand; he's long ago noticed the sword and he's sure Sousei is capable of dealing with something this, if he weren't restrained.
It's just a tree. Trees can't be that bad, can they.
Saitou you have no idea and it's probably best you don't know.]no subject
Either way.
He hands off the glass easily with a nod of thanks, and then true to Saitou's beliefs, in the next moment he has drawn his sword and neatly severed the branch that was clinging onto him. From there, it's easy to pull the remaining pieces from his arm, neatly sheathing his sword again.
And then to be safe, he takes a few steps away from said tree.
Ahem.]
...Your assistance is appreciated. [really, you're the best, Saitou.]
no subject
He takes the glass and watches as Sousei deals with that easily enough, and then he offers the glass back. ] You're welcome.
[ He looks back at the tree and the branches that still inch towards them. ] ...is there a place where one can actually stand without being assaulted? [ By people asking for dances, by strange fishes, by plants gone awry? He's beginning to think it's impossible. ]
no subject
As for that....]
Hardly. [sorry, Saitou.] Even the rest of the city is often pointlessly dangerous for no apparent reason rather than to waste our time.
[he's so salty over it.]
no subject
I see.
[ He's going to love it here, isn't he. ] The slightly inconvenient things such as that-- [ A glance at the tree ] --can be mostly disregarded, but has anyone died from incidents?
no subject
[Yes, he's seen plenty of deaths here, even if they haven't been...well.
...Proper...deaths... god jamjars are weird. Ultimately, he nods.]
This is harmless. But there have been less harmless incidents. Robots intended to assassinate us, ghosts with the intent to harm--and often, they do cause harm to those who can't defend themselves.
[it's a disaster.]
no subject
I have only just arrived. [ But that's probably obvious. ] Am I right in assuming that ghosts, then, are a common occurrence?
[ He nearly asks about the robots. One question at a time, however, is always better. ]
