![]() A few weeks prior to December 26th, an invitation went out to all whom already reside in Cerealia. In delicate, curling script, it read: You are cordially invited by Natalia L.K. Lanvaldear to a Winter Ball to be held on the Eve of December 26th in the Gardens. Dress in your best attire and enjoy a magical evening of dance and fine cuisine. What do you mean we should fuss about worlds being destroyed? Get into the holiday spirit, you scrooge! And in regards to the new-comers: whether you have been wandering Cerealia over the course of the past few days and managed to receive one of the later waves of invitations or have simply suddenly appeared in the gardens with nothing but the (hopefully…. appropriate….) clothes on your back, welcome. The gardens have been transformed through the work of

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post! This one is player-run and all the basics have been laid out for you here. Absolutely feel free to come up with your own prompts, I just attempted to set the scenery! For your convenience, I whole-heartedly welcome questions and inquiries being directed to my attention here and I'll answer them to the best of my ability! |
iii!
No okay he's not Tsurumaru so he won't be the cause of any spilled drinks tonight... He does, however, have something to say about all this lurking happening over here right now.]
You look like you could use a dance!
[run sousei run]
no subject
He blinks, and sadly doesn't think of running, and instead arches an eyebrow.]
No. I'm not interested.
[Oh....harsh rejection right there, sorry, friend.]
no subject
So are you just gonna stand here with that sour face all night? You might as well have just stayed home if it's like that, right?
[What's with all these linefaced grumps along the walls, good lord. WALLFLOWERS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE CUTE AND SHY.]
no subject
I was intending to, yes. [stand here with a sour face all night, yep. Was that a joke..........
we just don't know.]
Are you here for any purpose other than passing judgement on me?
no subject
He's also taking that as a joke, which he seems mildly impressed by... Maybe this guy isn't quite as stiff as some of the others??]
To dance, duh. [Duh, Sousei, duh...] Don't you think it's lame to dress up so nice and then just stand around?
no subject
I think it is irritating that it is necessary, but nonetheless, that does not mean I have to embarrass myself further.
[he can dance...... so it may be an exaggeration. But even so, he doesn't really want to.]
What do you find enjoyable in it? [he really doesn't...get it....]
no subject
But his answer definitely comes quickly and without pause. It's super wise and very poignant.]
It's fun when everyone's watching you! [hAHA-- okay but really:]
Besides, I love training. Keeping up with your partner, matching their moves, improving your steps, watching so you know where to go... It's super exciting, right?
[He's definitely got a sword with him too, like every other sword person running amok in the party, so it's obvious what type of training he's talking about.]
Dancing isn't really different. It's all about mastery of the body and its motion, yeah? And if you have a body to move at all, it's lame to waste it.
no subject
Either way, that was definitely super wise and poignant-- though he can't deny that Kashuu is somewhat right. After all, even if Sousei himself is not particularly skilled at dancing (though he does know the steps) he can tell when someone is skilled at it, and they have a particular grace much like a skilled warrior does.
....Hm.]
I suppose I had not thought about it that way. Nonetheless, I am not a particularly skilled dancer, so I'm afraid you will be disappointed in that "training".
[he's probably not bad, really, he's just stiff.]
no subject
But Kashuu is still not deterred, even so! Look, he's a determined shit and he's decided that he wants to dance with Sousei, so they're basically going to be trapped in dance limbo until one of them caves. Sousei will go home after the party thinking he escaped only for Kashuu to show up like three weeks later asking for a dance again.]
It's fine, it's fine! I've never had a disappointing partner. The only ones who disappoint are the ones who totally don't even try, yeah?
[Training is training, after all! Even sparring with a bad (or stiff) partner gives you the opportunity to teach and share and get to know someone better. It's the interaction that Kashuu likes best, even though a good workout and the chance to show off is nice, too.]
