When: A few day after oona threw that mug at tenka and sousei's wall.... oops
Where: Sousei and friends' place.
What: Oona broke a mug, exploded angrily all over the place, and is not back to apologize-- hopefully wihtout having to actually say the word 'sorry.'
Rating/Warning: None...??
Outside. Open door. [And then, in afterthought:] Please.
[That's all the text she sends Sousei, mostly because she' not sure if anyone else is home and she doesn't want to confront any of them before she sees Sousei.
In her hands is a very poorly wrapped...shape. You'd be hard-pressed to discover it was a mug without tearing off the wrapping, since Oona's idea of gift wrap was "furiously roll pretty paper around and around until it's practically a ball and slap tape on it." But. She tried??]

So he doesn't bother to respond to the text, instead opening the door.
And he arches an eyebrow at her, as cool and calm as ever.]
Oona. What is it?
no subject
At length she heaves a sigh and holds the gift out to him, not quite looking at him.]
Want to come in. Please.
no subject
Come in.
[A proper invitation for Oona...and the apartment is much quieter now, everyone out and about and doing their thing (which may be why Sousei is still at home).
Besides, she's being extraordinarily polite (for Oona), so he'll be a polite host.]
Wait here, and I will grab tea.
no subject
Oona frowns lightly, but steps in anyhow and makes to follow him to the kitchen.] Will watch.
[Maybe shell figure out how to make it on her own next time then. Baby steps. She spares an anxious glance to the gift] Should open that too.
no subject
So at her words, he simply picks up the gift again, and then leads the way into the kitchen. It...takes some working at the tape for him to get it open though, please hold....
... ... ...
And when he's finally able to unwrap it, he blinks. Ah.]
... Thank you. [It's a good replacement for the one she broke, and--well, Oona is the sort to deal well with things being spelled out, isn't she? He'll be transparent and clear, in that case.] I do appreciate that you've come to amend that mistake. This will save both Tenka and me some trouble.
Now come this way. I will show you how to make proper tea.
no subject
So she'll follow him and hover around watching him, still oddly quiet; her attention seem split between watching what he's doing, and watching him. After a little bit, probably sometime after the actual tea is made and cooling, she catches at his sleeve and tugs.]
Sousei. [There's one final step here that needs to be done before she can feel amends have been properly made]
no subject
So he focuses his attention on her, one eyebrow slightly arched, but expression otherwise neutral and calm.]
What is it?
[Naturally, he'll hear her out, as always.]
no subject
Her fingers curl tighter in his sleeve and she stays like that a moment before finally speaking up] You... do not hate me, yes?
no subject
[Well, that was a quick, blunt answer. Still, he's a straightforward as ever, and he doesn't see the need to hide anything about this. He blinks down at her, as ever not entirely understanding her need for physical touch, but not shaking her off either.
He's learned a lot about tolerating other peoples' needs in this place.]
You made a mistake. Such things happen. But you have made amends, and are learning so as not to make the same mistake again. That is what truly matters.
no subject
[Do not remind her of her shame.] Again, humans rely too much on words. Too many words, for what does not need to be said. [She'd much prefer it never be brought up again, but his reassurance that he doesn't hate her goes a long way.
he wraps her arms around his waist briefly for a proper hug before she pulls away.] Should try hugging back sometime. It will not kill you. [Yeah, she's definitely feeling better.]
no subject
Really now. Physical affection is not his thing.]
I understand that there are physically demonstrative people like you and Tenka. [He does, he does get it. But... between his general personality and his life before the Kumous picked him up, physical affection was never a major part of things.]
But in turn, you have to understand that I am not that way.
no subject
[But she knows that this is just the way he is, and while she would prefer he was more physically affection she understands that she won't be getting her way on this. Oh well.]
Do not even try! [SIGH.] Your pretty face is so wasted on you.
no subject
[There's even some annoyance in his voice. That's how many times he's heard that.
And then a shake of his head.]
Do you understand how to make this tea now, Oona?
no subject
[But she nods, looking over the tea] Yes, more or less. Ah, but, will probably not taste as well as you make it. Will still want yours' more. So, you should continue to make it for me, sometimes.
no subject
So he just.
Looks away. At the tea!! Yes, tea is safe.]
That sounds acceptable. On occasion, I will do so, of course. It's only polite to serve guests tea.
[A pause and he examines her.]
I suppose you do still count as a guest. Sometimes.
no subject
Only sometimes? [She raises an eyebrow, amused] What am I other times?
no subject
[You're part of the family, Oona.]
Don't be dense.
no subject
Like hearing you say it though. [LOOKS AT.
EXPECTANTLY.]
no subject
...You belong here more than a guest would.
At times. [so don't get a big head. And with that, he grabs his tea and turns to leave the kitchen TSUNS MIGHTILY.]
