oz;
I'm not really... worried about that part.
[the technology, or getting used to things. none of that really feels important to him compared to the bigger picture. he can figure those things out as he goes, if he needs to. roxas is resourceful enough, given how much he learned in less than a year's time while with the organization... but what about them? sure, he didn't have a home world of his own, but did the world that never was count as his home, if that's where he was last? and did that mean the organization was destroyed with it, axel included? and what about kingdom hearts?
...or was it twilight town, where he was first "born" the one he should call his home? neither were in the realm of light; could they be destroyed as easily as CERES claimed? he doesn't think oz has the answers to that, and he doesn't really think he should be delving into how deeply confusing his situation is.
his mind is racing with questions, but he hesitates to ask a single one.]
I just... want to know what they mean. Worlds being destroyed, and the people on them. What happens to them? Is it even true? It seems... really hard to believe.

CERES says that our worlds have all been destroyed by these aliens called the Flamines, but that... we aren't lost forever, I guess. They can retrieve our data and rebuild what was destroyed - that's what I understand, at least. [Which is pretty depressing even with the caveat of "well, it might be fixable!" Still, there's barely a pause before he moves on.]
But no one here has ever seen a Flamine before in any sort of book or anything like that. In the end, there doesn't seem to be any solid proof that says it's either a truth or a lie.

[it's not exactly a first for him. it's not really that much different than what he dealt with during his time in the organization. being lead to believe that completing kingdom hearts would be some kind of salvation, that it would somehow be the key to completing them—is it really that much different?]
It sounds like nothing but lies. Something... to keep us from questioning it, or somethin' like that. [if that's even a thing. well, he knows it's a thing, because he's seen it happen, he's seen xemnas and saïx do it more than once. but he doesn't know if that applies here, no matter how much it seems to be the case from what roxas has learned thus far.]
no subject
[Which he hopes changes soon, but it's getting pretty hard to keep up that optimism. He isn't even one of the blind optimists, either...
But with all this bad news bears happening, he still offers a smile!]
We're definitely working on it, though. It's a little slow-going, but there are a lot of talented people here.
no subject
not that it really makes things okay, by any stretch. regardless, he's not going to be quick to think that anything regarding CERES and being where they are is much else but lies. his trust has been broken too much by people in positions of power to be so optimistic.]
Slow going... I guess it must be, if nobody's really figured out their deal. [he pauses to consider this.] How long has this been going on, anyway?
no subject
[But then he died and now things are confusing and Oz has no idea how to even start piecing the scraps of information he has together, especially when it's very possible indeed that some (or all) of the scraps are false.]
But in that time, we haven't been able to find much information on... anything, really.
no subject
Nothing at all? [so do ya'll just suck at recon or are things that tight-lipped? that's what roxas wants to know, because that's a lot of days to come up with nothing.]
no subject
Oz looks up toward the ceiling briefly, looking at the florescent lights without quite seeing them.]
Well... The things that we have learned, we have no real way to confirm yet. I can show you the things we've heard or found so far later, but I have it all written down on a piece of paper in my apartment.
no subject
[which he doesn't really mean in a rude way, he's just telling it how he sees it. maybe his honesty is a little too brutal sometimes.]
I want to see it, though.
no subject
I'll make sure to show it to you right away, then. But first, we need to get out of here. Um-- [GLANCING BACK OVER. His patient get-up doesn't seem very excellent for daring escapes.] ...Do you have anything to defend yourself with?
no subject
Yeah, I do. [defending himself is hardly an issue. though it raises the question:] What am I defending myself against?
no subject
You might run into some things wearing nurse uniforms out there. They've been attacking people with needles.
[He doesn't know if any of the injuries have been very serious or not, but it's (almost) always better to err on the side of caution(ish - as close as possible is good enough...), as far as he's concerned.]
no subject
[okay, it's more "i know i can handle that" more than anything else; he's fought off things that were a lot more dangerous and menacing than that sounds. granted, that may be a different story entirely once he sees what he's up against, but that's not the part roxas sounds fussed about, for whatever that's worth.]
I guess that means we're ready then, right? It's not like there's anything else here for me.
no subject
Right! If you're ready, we can leave now. [A quick glance around the room just to be sure, and-- nope. Seems pretty useless in here, so after that, he'll turn back and peer down the hall.]
...It looks clear for now.
[TIME TO FLY.]
