[Talking about motives and what's going to happen next feels like talking about a crime, which he figures probably isn't entirely inaccurate.]

So, we're supposed to be "saved" right now, which means what, being out of the city? That's all well and good, but just because we're not completely abandoned doesn't mean they've actually got a plan either, does it? What would anyone have to gain from throwing everyone into the jungle and seeing what happens?

I don't think they understand. They're spirits or something, right? They probably don't even realize that most of us are used to city stuff. Right now, they might be just trying to get us away from CERES. I mean, they're assholes, but I'm not sure why CERES is so bad we have to be thrown in the middle of nowhere.

I'm going to guess we're not going to get any answers out of anybody, either.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but you're probably onto something. I mean, CERES isn't exactly made up of nice feelings and rainbows, but this is going pretty far.

At least knowing we're not going to get answers isn't a huge surprise or anything. And I'm sure if we all make it back they'll end up spinning it as saving us from the dangerous spirits roaming the wilds, too.

Probably. [He falls silent, thinking it over a little bit more.] So we're just in a big tug-of-war match right now, if that's the case. Which kind of sucks. But CERES did take something away from the spirits, right? That's probably why they're so pissed off and thinks CERES is so bad.
