[Naoki laughs, though it's a quiet one.]

Nah. I'm strong enough where weapons don't worry me that much. I'd rather help if I had to.

If you're certain.

[Ky won't protest any further, because he's keeping an eye on the crowd and the dangers unfolding there.]

[masakados]

I'm sure. There's no need to worry about me.

[He's confident in that much, at least.]

[Ky nods, accepting it now. They do need to focus on finding their way free, and intervening if necessary. But they can talk while they move, at least enough to convey important information.]

My name is Ky Kiske.

[masakados]

Naoki Kashima.

[With a flick of his fingers in a little nice to meet you wave, coupled with a crooked smile.] C'mon, Ky. Let's try checking over in this corner.

[He can't get a very good look at it from here. People are in the way. People who're fighting.]

[Ky moves that way, keeping an eye out for anyone who needs rescuing or who looks like they're going to rush the two of them.]

[While scanning the walls-- it doesn't surprise Naoki to come up with nothing. He runs his palm along a nearby wall, contemplating smashing it to see where it goes, but refrains. For now.

Instead, he looks over; someone is coming their way, shouting as they swing a sword downward. Naoki ducks to one side, one of his hands already balling into a fist at his side.]

[The hilt of Ky's sword is in his hand, and he sends electricity magic crackling along the length of the blade. It's important to try to seem like he's not worth fighting, more trouble than the reward he can offer.

(But then, if their opponent decides to go after an easier target, it will still be on Ky to intervene.)]

[masakados]

[It doesn't seem like the armed person charging at them is dissuaded, even by the crackle of Ky's magic through the sword. Naoki curls his fingers at his side, the muscle of his arm tensing. There's a flare ofo blue light in Naoki's eyes.

Wind blasts from nowhere, knocking the person off their feet.]

[Ky focuses his efforts on creating a barrier of electricity, so when the attacker climbs to their feet again, they can see the lightning but not Naoki and Ky behind it.

Ky would rather not do damage if he doesn't have to, but he's prepared for any necessary fights.]
