[What's that? You're having your own issues with creepy child-versions of yourself? Peko doesn't seem to be having any of those herself. At least, so it might seem from first glance. She's gripping her sheathed katana tightly in one hand as she walks determinedly down the hall in her ViViD-supplied nurse's uniform and lab coat. A careful observer might notice that both of her hands are dripping blood, and there's a handprint on her clothes from where she might have tried wiping it off.
Even a less-careful observer can't miss the blood-soaked child, looking no older than five or six years old, wearing a kimono and with a smaller katana on her back, following closely behind Peko. Even though the child has shorter legs, she doesn't seem to be having any trouble keeping up with the older girl.
At another reminder that you did it, you're the murderer--, Peko snaps without looking back,] Stop that. I am aware.
[??? Approach?? Question?? Try to pawn off your own creepy child-ghost on her?]
Phase IV [Peko has had more than enough "justice" for one lifetime thanks to the island, so when it came down to it, she's immediately choosing "truth." Whether or not she'll actually be getting answers out of this quest is unimportant; it seems she has to complete it no matter what.
While she's there, might as well search through the filing cabinets, though the blank papers are pretty frustrating... frustrating enough that she might not immediately notice you behind her until it's too late, spinning and grabbing the hilt of her sword.
Alternatively, watch out for those Cthulhu doctors! Maybe you've gotten caught by one? Just hang on, Peko's running your way with her katana in hand.]
Bonus a. Excuse me.
[?? Peko doesn't quite sound like herself as she marches up, still (fortunately or unfortunately) in her nurse's uniform; she sounds a little hesitant, almost nervous. Not something one normally hears from Peko unless it involves fluffy animals.]
I have... a foolish request.
[Before she can even say what it is she's requesting, she's taking another step forward, trying to close the distance. Depending on height, she's either trying to bury herself against the other person as if looking for protection, or wrap herself around the other as if to protect them. It really depends on how much shorter than 5'8 you are, since she'd rather be the one doing the protecting if at all possible.]
b. [Or, later on, one might find Peko hiding near a desk, anxiously peeking around the corner every few seconds. Her sword is gripped tightly between both hands as she keeps looking for something, breath coming hard through her nose. It almost seems like she's panicking, though she's trying to keep her expression as solemn as possible.
Once she spots your character, her posture relaxes slightly in visible relief, and after another cautious peek around the desk, she gestures quickly toward herself. Hurry, get over here! Can't you tell from the bodies strewn about that it's not safe here?!
Though really, without the hallucinogen, it's just a normal, empty office. There's no actual bodies to be seen.]
