[Oh, thank fuck they'd been close to the stairs. Leon had been sure he was, he knew they were that way! He totally knew it all along! He'd just gotten caught up! His shock runs so deep that he doesn't even complain when he's dragged up the stairs; it's the way out and he's ridiculously happy to see it there in front of him. His offense at everything else--and there's plenty of that, between being seen like that, dragged around, the entire frigging situation--can take a temporary backseat to getting the hell out of that nightmare.
Usually, though, when you wake up from a nightmare, you're alone in bed.
This isn't that. Suddenly they're in the hospital. The world's going on like normal. A doctor bustles by them, nudging Leon out of the way, completely unperturbed by his bloodied scrubs (he'd given his lab coat to Togami, earlier, but he's still dressed like this otherwise, giving the whole thing an even more surreal bent) or his shocky expression. It's like--none of that even just happened, which makes him feel crazy, except even worse, because someone saw none of that just happen!
Leon jerks his hand away and his head back and forth, taking in the hospital scene, before he settles back on Heung Soo's face. He's at a loss. Finally he just starts talking without thinking, for lack of anything else to do to break this freaky spell he feels like he's under.]
--I am! I'm fine, just--forget about it, that was just . . . what the hell's even wrong with these people stickin' in levels like that? I just wasn't prepared! I didn't sign up for a friggin' horror game! Whateeeever, I'm so over it!
