[ so things have been oddly silent since the tours aside from the rush of new people into the city. still, it's one day, a blip on the radar, and everything settles back to normal. which of course means hawke's getting restless. she still spends most of her time trying to ignore the idea of her family being gone because it makes her panic and want to do something, anything, to get them back. ... whiiiich doesn't help anyone in the long run. so instead she focuses on other things: work, learning all these new things, the people here.

one of the most amusing people she's met here definitely has to be sousei. he seems one thing from the outside (taciturn, unemotional, unfriendly) but is completely different on the inside (impulsive, very emotional, optimistic). so, she keeps poking at him. she likes seeing what makes him tick. that restlessness combined with her wondering what he's up to has lead her back to the gym again. there's a moment where she wonders if he won't be here and... where in the world would she find him then? but she doesn't worry too much and heads straight for the dojo.

this time, she's not in armor -- sneakers, sweatpants, a t-shirt and when she slides open the door, she doesn't step inside. she's still entirely approaching with intent though and is relieved when she spots him. ]

[He wouldn't really appreciate her analysis of him--if he knew of it. But he doesn't, so no harm no foul, and instead he turns to inspect her when she slides open the door.

For what it's worth, he's not training; he'd just finished a class (you know, his actual job), and was seated, settled in to take a breather and get a few moments to himself.

Clearly, that's...not happening now. Still, he can't entirely say he's displeased by this turn of events either; if nothing else, he knows that Hawke will keep him busy, and while he's in better shape than he was before, Tenka's absence is still an awful hole he can't fix.

So he ignores it. #healthy coping]
