[ malia doesn't really pick up on kazuya's moment of inner struggle. she could smell it, most likely, the inhumanness of him but that didn't strike her as odd. it just reminded her of what she was here doing, fighting and fighting for fun. it's been so long since she's doing anything like this while evenly matched -- most likely while she was still a full coyote -- so this is fun. fighting for survival does get pretty tiring after a while.
she feels her blood humming and the feeling of her upper fangs pushing just lightly down onto her bottom lip. she blinks and her eyes flash a bright icy blue and stay like that, the corner of her mouth turning upwards. he's about to come towards her, she knows this and she's ready for it.
but the feint does unfortunately work on her and she lets out a very angry howl as it happens. the next thing she knows her face is pressing against the pavement and from deep in her throat, a long growl comes out. he's got one of her arms but the other is still there -- still working. which means she's going to reach back with it when she can and it's an uncomfortable bend but she's aiming to dig her claws into his shoulder. if she gets a good, meaty hold of him -- she'll fling him with just one arm, off of her and into street in front of them.
if he gets off of her then, she'll fall back to sit on her knee and rolls a crack out of her shoulders. if she isn't, she'll just keep trying to swipe at him with her claws. ]
