[ there's more sound in the background as... namur does whatever it is namur is doing, but that soon seems to leave. he's not here, right now, so... it's safe, to focus on toothless, isn't it? not that hiccup wouldn't do that anyway, and there's no way he's simply leaving when his best friend makes it very clear he isn't doing this as a choice.

so, yes, toothless continues going towards the plants--and hiccup is coming right with him, as he continues to try to stop their approach. ]

He isn't doing this by choice.

[ a very dreary realization. and, look, it's stupid and he knows it's stupid, but he's not letting this just happen. so, the hilt he's been holding, with his retracted sword? hiccup's letting the blade out, though he doesn't light it on fire just yet. ]

--Stay calm, bud, it's fine--keep fighting it, whatever it is, I'm going to make sure nothing happens to you. [ then, into the foliage: ] Hey! If there's someone in there, doing this--it's time you came out. Now.

[ and if it's just the crazy plant-filled area doing it, then... take his dragon, but he's coming too.

of course, not without a glance at hirari and mars, and then a gesture of his head to the corridors, as if telling them to go on. they-- don't have time for this, probably, and they need to find what they came here for.

but he absolutely cannot leave toothless behind. so if there's no response to his call, he's moving forward. with a press of a button, his sword is setting on fire. is he planning to burn away some plants, too, before his dragon walks into them and probably gets strangled or. SOMETHING? (bad, most likely. he trusts anything here as much as he trusts berk's winters to be warm.) either way, he's considering it, because if they're making toothless act this way, then they need to go.

he might not be as fireproof as toothless, but that's why speedy getaways were invented. ]
