[ It was hard enough, waiting for the water level to go down enough so that Mary could return to where her apartment was (had been) without risk of drowning. Seto's hoodie, the jacket Hiro had given her... they were the only things she'd been able to find at the time, but now she can search for anything remaining from their apartment.

So feel free to come across a tiny teenager over the afore-mentioned days, getting drizzled on and trying to pry up pieces of the smaller rubble - and HNNNNNGHing at the bigger pieces of debris that she can't budge at all - as she hunts about. The stuffed animal she'd received from Lily is gone, the headband from Kaoru and Shiho has been twisted and bent beyond repair when she miraculously finds that... the dried flowers, from the bouquet Elza had given her... no sign of them. All of her tea...

Mary almost wants to cry, but not yet. She just keeps looking.

And don't be alarmed if she seems worn-out when you see her. It's not some weird elemental effect, she's just terrible at stamina. ]

I heard that! Something about a bridge, right? [He doesn't know much else though, and he'd missed the raid, too. Which is probably for the best since his ass was already almost killed the first time he went in there...]

Yeah. I found a... a place earlier, and the cloud came back and said she'd been found, so at least she's okay. It said they'd know if something happened to her.

[That's good news! And equally good that Mary's had pleasant interactions so far, since Oz has heard some stories...]

If they know that much, that's a good start!

[ Yes, thankfully, Mary did not incite their rage. ]

It's... I don't know what to think, though. I've never met someone who could make it rain so much, and that was dangerous.

It was unfair of them to retaliate against all of us when CERES was their goal... Still, I guess even people with that kind of strength can act rashly when the ones important to them are in danger.

I think anyone can do that. If someone's important to you, of course you want to do whatever it takes to keep them safe.

... I just wish it hadn't been like that.

It would have been better if they had tried talking to us first. [He can get why they didn't! But he doesn't have to be happy about that.] If no one ever tells us anything, of course we're going to have a hard time fixing problems.

I don't know if they really want to rely on us, anyway. Since we're not from here, or anything.

[ From lost worlds, Caeli had said. So did that mean their homes really didn't exist anymore? ]

Even if they don't want to rely on us, they don't want us here either, right? [OR MAYBE THOSE WERE JUST THE GHOSTS... But either way, they can't leave if no one tells them what's going on. He's all for letting people vent and all, but not when it's something dingus-y like kicking someone while they're down for not understanding why they're down.]

They said there was no reason to help us get home, though...

[ Well, Caeli had. Mary sighs, shaking her head. Ugh, she's too tired for this. ]

But we should still try to find a way, anyway! Even without them.

Right! [RUDE, CAELI. But at least there's the implication present that they do have homes to return to, even if everyone is being Extremely Unhelpful in trying to get them back to it.]

We'll work hard together and get everyone home safe and sound. In the meantime, we'll just do as much as we can.
