It's been pretty strange around here. [ Hard for Kogi to disagree. As he brushes by Mutsu, who graciously lets him in, he can't help but fixate on Mutsu's lack of energy. It's so far from the norm...! ]

[ Kogi's 'princess carrying' senses are tingling so much so that even his hairears are vibrating (wow, such sensitivity)! ]

[It's a rare day for Larry: a day off! It's pretty miraculous when that happens since he has three jobs to juggle, but sometimes the stars align in such a way that he gets a lot of free time and has absolutely no idea what to do with it.

Thus, he decides to occupy some of his time by visiting some swords! At least, the ones he knows to start with.

Luckily he finds Sayo pretty quickly without a lot of awkward "who is this random guy in orange wandering around the house" coming from other apartment occupants. He is, however, pretty surprised by who he finds Sayo with!

He crouches down, happily waving to Sayo and his kitty friend.]

Hey Sayo! You didn't tell me you got a Cybuddy!

[But how long until he tries to rope Sayo into letting him take Katshuu for walks though.]

[Sayo looks at Kashuu's cat curiously, and nods to agree with him. Katshuu looks up and meows in greeting. Hello!]

Yes, they look cute. What's their name?

[Hopefully, nothing like naming them after another sword that's still around...]

[Sayo looked up when he noticed someone approaching him, only to relaxed when it's someone he knows!]

Hello, Larry-san. [He looks like he's in a fairly good mood? What an uncommon sight.] I have him for a while. I didn't think of mentioning it.

[More like, no one asked Sayo, so he never thought of telling more people about Katshuu. Which is... his approach to many other topics. "You didn't ask me."]

[Luckily not, because Kashuu isn't easily swayed when it comes to naming his pets... ONLY THE CUTEST NAMES FOR THEM!!]

[He sets the small CyBuddy down on the floor next to Katshuu and he meows in return, immediately moving to check this new cat out.]

[ Kousetsu and being wasted will be a new experience for everyone. Does his demeanor change?! We just don't know. Normally Jiroutachi was the one sword everyone went to for drinks and a good time, it definitely wasn't Kousetsu.

But here he was...nodding at the words of the other. ]

Then I will get glasses for us. [ He'll go and procure them two glasses, setting them down on the table before taking a seat again. ]

[It's nice to see Sayo in a good mood! Larry doesn't recall this sort of vibe from the boy in the past, so it's a nice change of pace.]

[But he does kinda figure Sayo wouldn't be one to take a cat for walks, so it's not like he would've run into it that way.

He slowly holds out a hand for Katshuu to approach.]

Are you having fun taking care of him? Chores and all?

Do ya think... maybe everything's just caught up with us?

( He doesn't really get it but... he's heard of human bodies doing things like this before. They run on adrenaline or something when they have nothing and then they crash and burn. )

( So it wasn't just him and the agreement is actually enough to get Mutsu to shift a bit on the couch and sit up. He's still leaning on the arm rest but he's sitting up, at least. )

Ya noticed? I didn't think about it 'til ( he says the next part a little more quietly, ) Souza-san disappeared.

( That was when it got really weird because he expected Sayo to be more upset. )

[She stretches as talking about rest makes her even more lazy.] Our bodies are not quite the same right now, so it might be the case. Though this is the longest I've been so exhausted!

[This is probably the point where Kashuu would take a seat too, normally, but he's still full of energy and just keeps standing instead. He does cross his arms over his chest and nod in agreement, though.]

[ The ridiculous "gamer tag" had worn off and disappeared a few hours after he had found himself dumped so unceremoniously in this place. At least once evening set in Pitch could make use of the lengthening shadows. For once being pleased to be unseen as night swallowed up the day leaving only the tiny pinpricks of stars as reminders.

The number and address were crumpled in one hand, long since memorized. Pitch Black had, at first, tried to convince himself that the invitation meant nothing. There was no way Haru, or anyone for that matter, would just open themselves up to dark dreams. so Pitch stayed away... but then his curiosity got the better of his judgement.

so with that damnable slip of paper in hand he peered out from one of the closets used for storage and extra bedding. You'd think it would be cramped for someone as tall as he was, but in truth he was oddly agile. It's actually something out of a Gieger painting, so be glad if you miss the creepy closet monster. Peering very cautiously around the door, the bedroom looks empty...]

Well, Mutsu! Maybe if you try jumping up and down a little? Or around, even!

[ Kogi slowly inches closer and closer to Mutsu, until their noses almost touch. ]

... are you more awake now? Am I helping?

[ Blink blink. He's trying to be cute. ]

[ A cat. It's just the animal itself which catches Yamato's attention and makes him glance over at it every so often. A flick of it's tail and sapphire stares, just a small lick of it's paw and the uchigatana contemplates his every move. From how he acts, Yamato's realtionship with cats is more love and hate — most of the time they find him company but he has had a bit of bad history. Besides, no one is around, right? Why is it snooping around.. as if it lives here? Which anyone but Yamato can be pretty sure that it does, this is probably Sayo's cat but you know... you know.. what can go wrong? ]

You stop right there!

[ Speaking to the cat, he unsheathes his vessel and points at the feline as if it's another monster that he has to fight. When he takes a step forward, the feline believes in making a dash for it and of course, Yamato will follow in order to cleanse this apartment of these.. stray ~~bad omen~~ cats! Keeping his eyes on the animal, he starts to follow right after it in hopes of being able to either catch it — his sandals hitting against the ground as he continues to swipe his vessel at the poor cat. What has the cat done wrong but mind it's own business!!

Running around within the apartment as he bumps into various things such as tables and breaking vases, he slashes his vessel forward in order to attack the feline but he misses! ]

Stop running!

[ It doesn't take long until he has the feline in a corner, an open window behind and Yamato smiles since he's so proud of himself for getting this far. With just one movement of his vessel will be the end of it, right? Wrong. With another step, the cat decides to make an escape through the window but Yamato isn't foolish enough to allow it to escape, running forward towards the window and getting half his body through plus his sword, the window pane follows right after and drops down on the uchigatana's back and he flinches because that does hurt. ]

Ow ow ow.. why..

[ On a ledge he notices that the cat is sitting there rather nicely, no need to complain and Yamato hanging halfway out a window with a big drop between him and the ground. Perhaps you're in the room behind him.. please pull him out? He needs assistance? Maybe you're walking past the apartment below him and just happen to look up.... please.. help him. ]

[ For this being his first day here, he's been through a lot in the past few hours so he's decided to do something to pass the time. Finding the couch, he decides to sit down so that he wouldn't get into anymore trouble but with his weight crashing down — he accidentally sits on the remote and with a CLICK the TV before him flashes on. What comes on the weird box before him is some commercial but to Yamato, it's just some sad man trapped in a unknown world to be mocked by all people who watch him.

The man is sad.. lonely.. depressed? All in all. He is hurt. Who hurt him?

As he continues to watch the commercial, he feels bad for this human but he shouldn't meddle in personal affairs. He isn't sure why this household is keeping humans hostage and having them make food.. but there has to be a reason. In the middle of the commercial, Yamato moves and flicks to another channel — GODZILLA..... as that plays, a giant monster shoots out lightning from it's mouth and Yamato is alert! Is that man about to die? Yamato has to save him?

What if this man dies?!

Quickly getting up from the couch, he rushes over to the nearest vase so that he can use it to save the man inside of the TV.. This is helpful? He'll save him? From this lightning monster? It's no different from a historical revisionist, right? Swinging the vase into the TV and an explosion sounds right after the screen breaks and smoke comes from the device — Yamato gets down on his knees to look inside of the TV for the person he was supposed to be saving? Where is he?

Getting down on his knees, he peeks inside of the broken TV, fanning away a bit of smoke as he hears footsteps behind him. Oh, maybe they'd know where the sad older gentleman is. ]

I can't find the person I saved.. do you know where they are?

[ where did you find yamato! this is his first day @ the swordhaus, im so tired, i embarrassed myself. ugh im laughing ]

[ and it is, right up until the door opens to a pile of laundry and a small figure carrying it. haru steps inside and sets the basket on the floor, then straightens-- and shrieks in surprise, both hands clapping over his mouth to muffle it (and to keep his swords from hearing and charging in). ]

Pitch-san! [ holy shit you almost gave him a heart attack. he finally lowers his hands, pale eyes wide and still-startled. ] .. Why was I expecting you to use the door..

[ he hesitates, then makes a gesture to the room. ] Did you already know this was my room, or was it a lucky guess?

[ Pitch just answers with an obnoxious grin. ]

Why you silly boy. Though, if you prefer, there is always the shadow under the bed~?

[ So it was a lucky guess. But it's far more fun to imply otherwise. Being seen is such a new novelty too, especially since if this is Haru's room, it might be worth it to
snoop.

Like with this laundry basket for instance. The question on everyone's mind is boxers or briefs? ]

[It's not a Yams and Viet thread until a tv breaks anyway.

She only just caught him when was peering into the television set, so she never knew he vase'd it for the purpose of saving a man.

[Naki just got home from work, in a perfectly okay mood, to see...the most lifeless Mutsu he's ever seen.

He goes over, dropping something on Mutsu's lap as he moves to...push the remote those few inches over. In fact, he's gonna sit on the floor, for the express purpose of more easily pushing it one slow inch at a time. Choo choooo it's heading for yoooouuuu....]

[ haru pauses, then shakes his head, shifting to show that there's.. no actual bed. ] I sleep on a futon, Pitch-san. It's in the other closet right now. You're more than welcome to the closet if that's comfortable for you, though, or I can get out another futon. [ sure, he's not at home now, but habits are hard to break.

and the laundry seems to be a mix of his and the swords', so who knows..

he gestures him out of the closet, coughing into his sleeve as he does. (he's.. still sick, but he seems to finally be getting better.) ]

You should introduce yourself to everyone when you get a chance. Please try not to scare them, though. Some of my spirits are.. actually really traumatized.
