It's ice-cream, there isn't a not-okay type! Bring them all! And spoons. Maybe cookies too.

[Jack would hear the sounds of Sayo getting the spoons from the drawers. As for the cookies, he thought for a moment before he leaves the kitchen. In his hands is a tub of ice cream and two spoons, which he'll hold out to Jack.]

I'll get the cookies next.

[He is low in energy, alright! And with Sayo doing everything he says, well, it's hard not to go along with it. Jack doesn't fix his position when Sayo comes back, just grabs the spoon and... smiles when he hears the rest.]

Cookies, huh. You've been taught well. You're better at this than Naki. [Not gonna wait, tho, reaching for the tub to dig in...!]

["Everyone" being anyone in the sword army. Everyone else in this city? He'd help so at least his brothers and master wouldn't worry too much about it. Sayo turns around and returns to the kitchens for the cookies. He'll just grab the first cookie-holding thing he can see.

He comes out with a container of choc chips cookies.]

Yeah, yeah, everything for Haruji, I got that speech already. [Multiple times in fact.] I was talking about your taste in food.

[Naki wasn't big on the cold treats Jack offered, but Sayo seems to know the basics at least. Jack doesn't need to eat, and as far as he knows the swords don't need it either, but that doesn't mean spirits can't appreciate something yummy every now and then.

Jack makes crumbles out of a couple of cookies and throws them on the ice-cream tube before finally digging in.]

Don't you do anything for yourself?

[Sayo blinks and stare up at Jack when he heard that question.]

For myself? [Is this a trick question? Or a simple one. He tilts his head a bit.] Like what?

[Because he can say something about how he work for revenge.]

[Blink, blink... a raise of his eyebrow. Oh boy, this is going to be a tough one, isn't it? Jack doesn't know where to begin. People have disagreed with his ideas of fun, sure, but at least those have other (boring) hobbies.]

Anything that you decide to do because you wanna and not because someone else needs t. [Pause for some more ice-cream.] Don't you ever get bored?

[Ah, those kind of things. Sayo took a moment to think. Things he do because he wants to?]

I guess it's... learning? Or playing with Kashuu. [The cat, not the sword.] I get bored if I'm not working or fighting.

Kashuu is cool, that's a good beginning. [Jack approves of Kashuu - they have similar ideas when it comes to fun.] That's why you choose other activities, to avoid being bored. Like games, exploring, creating stuff, cooking...

[There's another idea mentioned, but it's lost on the munching of more ice-cream.]

I do like cooking with my brothers...

[Or basically doing anything with his brothers.]

And I usually create things at school. [Like things during art class.]

There you go! Art is fun. [Approving Jack is very approving - look, he's even pausing his ice-cream eating just for you, Sayo.] You should come over for a snow day, have fun building with the kids - snow can be turned into everything.

The winter spirit... so everything about winter is your domain?

[There's a pause, as he consider how to answer this. Especially to a winter spirit. He shake his head.]

No. Winter is cold and you don't really grow a lot of food during the season.

[Jack's face quickly falls - to think they were doing so well, dammit. Taking that snowball back, thank you very much!]

So you grab a jacket! You can grow plenty of food in winter. Like ice-cream and snowcones. [He offers a spoonful of wonderful dessert to Sayo. Proof that cold is a good thing right here in his hand!]

[Sayo glances down at the spoonful of wonderful, cold dessert and up again just give Jack a look at his answer.]

You can grow ice cream? [He can understand snowcones. But ice cream? Didn't they require milk somewhere in the recipe?] Isn't it better to grow things you can cook and eat in a hot meal?

[Because winter is cold.]

You can make it, same thing. [It really isn't, Jack. But he's not happy so Sayo's opinions so he's making less sense than usual.] There ARE winter plants. And greenhouses. No need to be so pessimistic, geez.
