Hm! No, not really. I just want to sit with you, Haruji. Is that okay? [ Have one little-big fox, who without hesitation sits on the couch and leans against his saniwa, peering at the words in the book.

Kogi's not a reader. Also, he has ulterior motives, but hopefully Haru doesn't notice the special looking comb in his hand. ]

What's the book about?

Of course. [ haru doesn't smile, of course, but somehow, his whole face still brightens somehow. he's a little startled by the way kogi tucks himself in close, but on second thought, he really shouldn't be. it's just normal behaviour for him.

at the interest in his book, he turns it a little more toward him, ears going a little red at the tops. ]

It's just a kids' fantasy book. I just wanted some light reading..

[ How does Kogitsunemaru ask the question? Would being too straight forward be kind of odd? Does playing coy really work here? It's a little difficult to be subtle, what with the little cute ribbon on the white comb.

Ah, to hell with it. ]

... would you mind combing out my hair, Haru? It's a lot easier when someone helps out, and I trust you will be gentle to not tug too hard at the knots.

[ And he shows off his most recent hair care based acquisition. He's a little embarrassed, it's kind of small but it's all he could find. ]

Think this would do? [ He smiles nervously. Eheheh. ]

[ .. eh? is kogi-san nervous? he never stammers. haru marks his book and glances up just in time for kogi to ask him to.. comb his hair? ah.. is he embarrassed? well, that is a suspiciously adorable comb.. but then, kogi's a suspiciously adorable old man fox sword, too, so it kind of suits him.

he can't help the way his expression softens fondly, and he sets his book aside entirely, plucking the little comb out of the spirit's hand. ]

That's okay, Kogi-san. Do you want to sit on the floor or lay your head on my lap? [ he's too tall to sit up on the couch. ]

[ That's a hard choice to make, but Kogitsunemaru is willing to live with his decision as he slides off the couch and positions himself at Haru's knees.

Well, there's his answer. ]

Thank you for doing this. I know you'll do a good job!

[ His hairears wiggle slightly. Kogi's so excited! ]

Well.. I've combed my sisters' hair plenty of times.

[ he gathers up a handful of fluffy hair, beginning at the end and slowly working the little comb through it. honestly, it's kind of meditative for him, and he likes being asked to do something like this. it means that kogi is comfortable with him. and while he knows that, it's still nice to have a reminder. ]

Oh? Well, now I expect the best! [ There's no doubt in Kogitsunemaru's mind that Haru would treat him well even without having prior experience. Not to mention, it's nice to be treated this way by others. It's not like Kogi could trust any ol' spirit around here to do this... Yamato

It's therapeutic having someone tend to this specific need, and Kogi makes soft, pleased noises as Haru combs through that long 'fur' of his. ]

... it's nice to have many return, isn't it?

[ he hums out a noise that sounds amused at the comment, fingers working through kogi's hair alongside the brush, gently detangling and stroking through the long strands at the same time.

at the musing question, he nods, even though the spirit can't see it right now. ] .. Yeah. [ he shifts on the couch, fingers stilling for a moment. ] Almost all of our Sanjou-school spirits are here, now. [ he kneads fingers for a few moments against kogi's nape, working his knuckles gently up his scalp. ] I'll bet you're really glad to have Mikazuki-san back, huh?

[ Haru's rewarded with the lowest rumble of a contented sigh and the slowly sagging shoulders of a fox who for the longest time, was tense. Not that Haru would lie about having done the same thing for his siblings, but at least it's undoubtedly confirmed. ]

They are. [ He wiggles back into those hands... Kogi could get used to this. ] It brings me a lot of relief, knowing they're present.

[ He brightens up at the mention of Mikazuki. That's easily felt in the room. ]

Yes. It's been a very big worry. I hope you are equally relieved.
