...I have heard of it. [ But he's never really tried it, given how cold it was at the time of his arrival. ]

It is...very sweet and there are many flavors.

[Well then. Dotanuki puts away a few of the weirder flavors - strawberry, mint, chocolate - and leaves the pint of French Vanilla Bean out. He opens the box of donuts like he always does and leaves it on the counter, then pulls out two spoons from the drawer. He offers one out to Kousetsu.]

You wanna try? This one's pretty mild.

[ Kousetsu watches idly reading the labels as Dotanuki puts away the other flavors one by one. So many different flavors, and ones he's never even heard of before. Humans were quite amazing in their ability to make so many varieties of things. He looks back at the other spirit with a nod. ]

...yes. Thank you, Dotanuki-san. I did not know so many flavors existed...

[ He'll take the offered spoon. ] Have you tried any other flavors before?

[He pulls the top off the ice cream carton and passed it over to Kousetsu.]

Yeah, the store has a bunch of 'em so I try to bring home new ones. But...

[Trying new flavors? Most definitely he has, but does he want to admit to it?]

I've tried a few. Master stocks ice cream here for that kid who crawls in through the windows, and I snag a couple of them whenever I run out of jerky.

I have tried...many things here as well. Humans are very good at making sweet confections I have found out. [ Kousetsu looks down once before digging in. He'll take a scoop and taste it, surprised at the flavor. It was...really good. ]

It is...very good, Dotanuki-san. [ He'll eat just a little more. Sweet but not too overpowering. ]

Do they have ice flavors similar to donuts? [ He was just curious is all. Since they're both sweet it would make sense to combine their flavors, right? ]

Humans've had a long time to figure this stuff out, so I guess that's why they're good at it.

[Good thing he went with this and not the psycho-colored rainbow sherbet or something. This seems more Kousetsu's pace.

Dotanuki leans back against the counter and takes a spoonful of his own, sticking it in his mouth. After he finishes eating it, he speaks again.]

Think so? Our store makes a lot of weird stuff, so I wouldn't be surprised if they have a bunch of 'em. Definitely seen some chocolate. You wanna try something else?
