[Well, he was done here anyway, so he gets up and goes to the kitchen. It takes him a moment of opening and closing cupboards to find what he needs, but he comes back a few moments later with a cannister of salt. Or is it sugar? He has no idea. He doesn't cook.

He sets it on the table.]

[Great, they have salt! Now, she's mixing here. Some say toss the salt at the evil spirits, but for now...]

We need to offer salt to hungry spirits. [Since they don't have sticky rice.] Let's make a pile outside the door of the apartment.

Just on the ground or do we need to put it on something?

[Also why the hell do spirits eat salt? He's going to have to ask Taroutachi this later.]

[She thinks about this. Since they're not trying to scare them away, just offer peace offerings...]

A plate or a bowl? It might be more polite that way.

[LOOK, they eat anything, but in S*pernatural they hate salt so she's like go figure. Going with they like food right now.]

[Back to the kitchen he goes to get a plate. He isn't sure which one is best to use, but spirits aren't huge, right? So a small plate will work? He looks around, and manages to find one in the back that likely won't be used for awhile.

It's shaped like a panda face and about the size of his hand. Good enough.

He brings it back and hands it to Vietnam.]

This'll work?

[He came back with a really cute plate. She's staring at it for a moment after she took it like ah, she's endeared.]

This will work perfectly. [The hungry spirits should be appeased if they use such cute plates too? She now decides to stand up after all that relaxing.]

Let's head to the door.

[He doesn't get why she's staring at the plate, but whatever. Some people were weird about plates.

He just shrugs, grabs the salt, and follows after her to the door, opening it to go out into the hall when they reach it. He turns around and holds it open for her, looking around.]

So what do we do with it? Just dump the salt in the plate and leave it?

[Dotanuki, it's like you and beastly creatures.

She thanks him after he holds the door open and follows after him before crouching down beside the entrance, putting the plate down next to the wall. It's positioned so that it's on the wall to the side of the door that's furthest from the stairs and elevator, that way no one will kick the plate.]

That is what we will do. [She holds her hand out for the salt canister.] It would've been better if we had a shrine, but we are doing a fast version here.

He hands her the salt canister (hopefully it IS salt and not sugar, he has no idea), then crouches down to watch her work.]

We can ask one a' the others to set one up if you're really bent on gettin' one.

Taking the salt, she now piles a generous amount into the centre of the plate. She doesn't want to waste it though, so it's not a full heap.]

It is fine. Since we are just trying to stop a curse. The others should be better at cleansing the place, no?
