It's a totally reasonable amount of time, or at least that's what Kasen would say. After all, when he put effort in it to make it especially cute, it would be almost too cute to eat. Almost. Because it's still Kasen's cooking, so not eating it is slightly more sad than not. So at the very least, Kashuu will be winning cute lunch contests for sure.
Though as Kashuu leans closer, Kasen's content, happy smile turns to a mild frown. ]
...It has been five minutes, Kashuu-kun.
[ is he going to have to deal with this for a few hours... he doesn't have enough carrots for that ]

Seriously?! It feels like it's been at least thirty minutes or something!
[Is he even joking, it's hard to tell...]
I guess I can take a nap or something.
no subject
You could! But I may just forget to wake you, you know... That would be a tragedy.
no subject
You wouldn't! You totally wouldn't!
[How could Kasen possibly miss the opportunity for his cooking to be praised??]
What am I even supposed to do with all that time if I can't nap?!
no subject
Well! I am sure you could find plenty to do.
[ He nods, though his smile stays wry and teasing. ]
Paint your nails, look after Yamato-kun, carve rocks... There's still plenty to do even when this is not our traditional Citadel.

What the shit's up with these suggestions, though?!]
I already painted my nails, there's no way I'm looking for Yasusada- [Because he eats everything] -and... what does that even mean? [Carve rocks??]
no subject
Why, for our troops' catapults, of course! I read about it in a book about how people conducted war in the West, you know. There was a time where warriors carved messages in their rocks so that the enemy would be hurt twiceover! Once with a rock, and then with words... It's quite elegant, no?
[ no. it's not. ]
no subject
Wow, seriously? Y'know, that's not a bad idea... I mean, destroying morale is just as important as taking down the enemy, right? Ahh, but I don't even know the first thing about carving.
[And clearly he can't just crudely etch a message into stone! That would defeat the purpose of delivering an elegant insult...!]

I don't either, in truth! But it cannot be that hard... The book I read about this in was talking of people that lived far before any of us were even forged! So it must be simple enough.
[ and that's how kasen and kashuu hurt themselves trying to carve rocks ]

With all the how-to things around here, they probably have something that's at least kinda similar. [THAT'S HOW PEOPLE DIE, KASHUU.] Sooo I'm sure we can find one method that'll work.
[He's already whipping out his CereVice, rip. He's like lightning-fast with this stuff now so you can bet he's on Cerealia's search engine in like two seconds googling "carve rocks use in battle insult".]
—Ooh, wow, listen to this! Looks like some people carved stuff, but some would just attach like, fabric scraps with emblems or lockets or whatever from bodies that were lying around just in case someone on the other side recognized who it belonged to. That's stone cold.
i'm not deleting this but i'll bring a real tag later
