[ Unlike some Other swords that throw a fit when getting wet, Taroutachi is literally just standing there staring expressionlessly as Arles gets out of the water and shakes all over. Icky dog water flies all over him but he's still standing there.
The truth is, he just came toward the water because he wanted to get his bearings and following rivers is always a good idea (also he's just really terrible at scouting so he's probably lost).
