[ To keep friends safe, of course! But he fears he's been doing too much damage to it, so he's hesitating, just long enough for the monster to body check him, knocking him away quite a bit. ]

Damn it--! [ NOPE. It hurts like hell, but the cracks can always be repaired...! Maybe! It was being bent at this point too, and the monster's movements were slowing.

If only he had a book to use. Maybe next time. ]
