Goddammit. He turns to look at the cluster of people beside him on the ledge and starts counting. ]
Where is everyone? Where's everyone else?
[ Sixty. Fewer than half of their number. He looks up the trail, past the floating cloud... and then down, slowly into the depths of the ravine. ]
Phase 2:
[ Once he realized the Queen and the Empress weren't there, he took off immediately, flying to try to find them. He searched systematically and kept going until dusk before doubling back. No point exhausting himself searching in the dark.
Now he touches down, near a large snowdrift. He's tired and cold and he needs to rest. So he begins telekinetically hollowing out a snow cave. Even though it's frozen, snow is a good insulator, and can provide shelter from the frigid wind. Come and help, make your own cave, or sneak into his after it's done. ]
Phase 3:
[ He awakens to the shriek of griffins (and possibly an unexpected cave-mate?), sits up abruptly and..... bangs his head against the dome of the cave. ]
GAH!
[ He is done. He is so done with this shit. He's just going to stomp out of his cave and shake his fist at the griffins. ]
