However, the owner of the apartment apparently had something of interest in said trash that gave Wall-E enough pause to dig through it and see if there was anything else worth looking at. Unfortunately, this also left the little robot completely distracted and unable to notice Richter until he's suddenly being lifted into the air: a squeal of surprise and some momentary waving of his arms is what he gets in response before Wall-E turns his eyes to look at the person who picked him up.]
