[Leon's a little relieved at the way Stahn takes it despite himself. He really had no reason to listen to Leon after everything, but no... no, that's classic Stahn. Still so certain that Leon knows what he's doing. Still so sure that Leon has it all figured out.

Leon had nothing figured out for awhile there, when everything had spiraled out of control so terribly. He had made every possible wrong decision, had ruined things for so many people, had caused so much trouble...the fact that Stahn has all of this faith in him still is incredibly wrong, he can't help but think.

But all of that pales to the rest of what Stahn says.

"so everyone can live happily like they're supposed to. You too, Leon."

But he's not. He's not supposed to live happily. He's dead, and Stahn pretending otherwise is not going to help either of them (it's just going to break Stahn more and more if he clings to this, isn't it...?). Unsurprisingly, Leon reacts sharply, almost aggressively.]

[He shifts uncomfortably; even this sort of topic is enough to make him almost want to flee the conversation, but... it's something that has to be said nonetheless.]

Hiding from the truth does you no good. There's no room for your idiotic delusions here. Nothing about this situation will change what happened, so don't even try.

[Chaltier makes a pained noise, but Leon ignores it entirely.

He's dead, don't you see, Stahn? Even if he's breathing now, don't you see that he deserves it? That he doesn't deserve to live a happy life? That he doesn't deserve a second chance, and he doesn't want one?

He'd gotten exactly what he deserved already.]
