They're not going to get much of a chance to decide, though, because said ceiling panel, once opened, has a suction like effect--they're both going to be sucked right up through it and into a strange tube. This must be some sort of method of transportation, and it's definitely not a comfortable one, but ultimately they'll be dumped in the room above.
They should still be able to hear the alarms below, and the sound of shouting below, but who cares about that? What really matters is that they're in a room that seems very promising.
Because what they'll find, if they follow the dim glow to the only light, is an old, abandoned terminal, computer screens still on full display. ]
