[Spoken more like a musing than anything else, but Horikawa shuts the door behind them and trots along to catch up once he has. The formality is curious, but maybe it explains why someone as eccentric as Mutsunokami is being referred to like that if it's just in his nature to be so polite in general? There's a bit of curiosity, but he has to return his manners first, of course!]
Would you like some tea? I'm sure we have something that would be to your tastes. [Either way he'll set the water to boil, just in case.]

[And, thus, he set the fruit down on a table in the kitchen. With his hair trailing down toward his knees even when bound up in a high ponytail and the general disheveled state of his dress, 'eccentric' was a mild descriptor for Koumei. The feathered fan that he carried was almost at odds with the rest of his dress-- it was simple, well cared for, and obviously made of expensive metals and materials.
Besides, everyone deserved respect. Especially spirits.
Especially when said spirit had a personality very similar to someone he idolized....someone who had passed away more than ten years ago.]

[With a nod, Horikawa gets the cups ready, and searches for something to have along with it. Though in the end, what he winds up fetching is a bowl of goldfish crackers that he found. This will be an elegant tea-time already.]
Usually a lot of people seem to come in and out, but this is our first time seeing each other, right? [There's a curious tilt of his head as he comes around, waiting up a bit while the water heats up. He holds out the bowl too, just in case Koumei wants a snack of his own?] Did you arrive recently, Koumei-san?

Only within the last couple of days, [he replied evenly, delicately taking one of the little fish for further study. It was smiling at him-- another detail that was stupidly cute.] The governing parties keep whisking us into that 'game' before I can get my bearings either.
[ViViD was what he was referring to. That technology was going to be hard to adjust to.]

[Not everybody falls out of ViViD in a literal sense, Horikawa... There's a raised eyebrow at the close inspection of the fish though, because that kind of skepticism about a fish cracker is pretty cute in itself.]
Do you not like crackers? I'm sure there's something else I can find, if they're a problem.

[It was stupidly cute. Almost a shame to eat it....but, it would have to surrender to it's fate. Koumei finally popped it in his mouth and, finding the taste to be rather salty and pleasant, moved on.]
My landing in the 'game' was safe enough. It was getting out of it that was the problem.

[It's okay Koumei, the goldfish aren't endangered. There's a whole other bag or two of them in the cupboard, surely, so there will be no shortage of cute cracker companions when he is in need. As for their other topic...]
That tends to be the case around here, it seems... Even so, it's good that you seem to be fine!

It is what it is, for better or for worse. But you know things are particularly strange when the food makes more sense than the hobbies.
