He nurses grudges like you wouldn't believe, often for the silliest things (see hijikata calling him soup). But on the other hand, he often ignores the things that normally frighten or irritate people. It's one of the reasons why so many people can't seem to get along with him, because he's too mercurial, too hard to predict, and has a habit of Never Getting Over the stupidest things. ]
