But man, he's almost forgotten (completely forgotten, even) that Vietnam isn't quite human, mostly because the idea that she's actually a nation is... still something to get used to. Or understand. But her conundrums feel legitimate, even if he doesn't have the capacity to understand immortality or all the baggage that comes along with it.

He's sure that his problems are small, in comparison to hers; it's selfish, isn't it, to pretend that they aren't.
