[There's an unusual tension, a particular nip to the air as Jack passes by her in the colony. Though seeing the winter spirit zipping through the air isn't any cause for surprise, a glimpse of his expression is all it takes to make her stop in her tracks and track his path with her eyes. The uneasy feeling in her gut only seems to grow when he flies right over the wall and into the jungle.
Sure, ever since the elemental spirits pulled them out of the colony, more and more people have been venturing out to explore. On its own, it's nothing. With the way Jack had looked as he left, though... Korra can't shake the feeling that something's wrong. She flicks her glider staff open and follows him.
She's too far away to hear what Occidi says when she confronts him, but Jack's reaction to the words are clear enough. Jack, she thinks with worry, urging her glider forward faster. It's a heart wrenching sight, the incredible blizzard he'd unleashed dying off and leaving him down on all fours--from exhaustion or something else, Korra can't tell. There's one thing clear, though: he's in no shape to notice the monsters gathering around him, most likely drawn to the abrupt change in temperature.
Korra lands beside him, calling up a strong blast of air with her staff to warn the monsters off. When they still linger, Korra knows they're in trouble. She pulls Jack to his feet quickly, knowing her questions would have to wait.]
Jack, get behind me!
[Korra puts herself between him and the monsters, ready to defend him until he's ready to move.]
