[ At least he doesn't have to worry too much about balance. Shinpachi's a big guy, and a tough guy on top of it. Sure, Sano might be taller than him, but it's still not really hard for him to balance both himself and the other guy as he drags them across the streets. It's not like this is something that's never happened before - they've always seemed to take turns with this sort of thing, always one dragging the other's sorry drunk ass home, one way or another.

This is no different. Or so Shinpachi wants to think, but there's something drunk about Sano. Sometimes he's half fallen asleep during their trek home, sure, but when he doesn't, he's loud and laughing and bragging about his scar or other amazingly made up stories.

He's not quiet. He's not like this - sometimes when he's sober, maybe, but not while drunk.

It's weird, especially coupled with the words, but Shinpachi does try to smooth most of his concern over with a smile so Sano won't realise he's worried so easily. ]

Outta there? Out of the bar? [ He almost makes a show of sounding incredulous, just to spur Sano on a little bit more, get the redhead to spill some more of what's on his mind. ] Man, you've gotta be kidding me! When has Harada Sanosuke ever wanted to leave a bar, huh?
