Mitsuru Kirijo | Persona 3 | OPEN

PHASE I

[ This is not how she would like to start her day.

To be fair, she started her day much earlier, but business as usual was quickly interrupted when she found herself at the entrance to the carnival. Now, she may visit a festival or two over the year for the sake of tradition, but something like this is very much beyond her realm of interest--and it's a little over the top. Booths with games at a shrine is much more her style. That, and she usually chooses to go.

But this?

This is ridiculous.

And she feels like she looks a little ridiculous, too. ]

What is the meaning of this!?

[ Is what someone might here as she's shoved back out of the changing room and into the crowd. Feeling terribly exposed, and a little upset.

Is the air around her just a bit colder? Yes, yes it is. There may even be a light sheen of frost on the ground around her feet.

Dangerous to approach...do you dare? ]

PHASE IV

[ To get away from all the commotion, entertaining the petting zoo seemed like a decent idea at the time. Mitsuru has never found herself particularly inclined towards animals--Koromaru is a special case--and consequently wasn't expecting anything exciting. The menagerie before her is certainly curious, though. While she doesn't attempt to pet any of them, she does watch them closely, as well as their interactions with other patrons. The fact that the keepers seem to make a point that "they don't eat humans" doesn't sit well with her.

The gate looks a little wobbly and her eyes continue to dart back and forth when animals come close to the fence, pushing against it with their weight.

It really shouldn't be a surprise when the structure fails.

Mitsuru jumps back immediately, but rather than finding the animals looking at her--she'd kept her distance, after all--she sees a few heading towards another carnival goer. ]

Look out!

BONUS

[ This is something Mitsuru feels that she can excel at. She happens to have excellent marksmanship, and after the day she's been having, she could use a good win. And as expected, she lands each shot right on the bullseye...

Not as expected, the bullseye is suddenly worth negative the entire score she's wracked up until then. What?. ]

The point value has changed. The rules never specified it would change.

[ The stallkeeper cackles as Mitsuru adjusts her aim and targets one of the far corners instead--which somehow, once again, changes point value.

How could someone possibly rank up -12,909,209 points? ]

...This is preposterous! What sort of dishonest business is this?

Sorry, little lady. Looks like your luck's run out!

[ Red eyes go wide when the booth itself comes alive and she's snatched out from the front of the stall by large, prehensile tentacles. No thank you. Needless to say, she won't go down without a fight. ]

Unhand me!

[ The tentacles themselves start to harden and chill, but it's too no avail. Mitsuru eventually finds herself hanging from the ceiling of the booth next to a series of dolls and she can't seem to get herself loose.

A little help? ]
