[closed] senpais chillin'
Who: Akihiko Sanada, Mitsuru Kirijo, Shinjiro Aragaki
When: 02/04?
Where: Their new apartment (Mitsuru's apartment)
What: Senpais have a housewarming, of sorts.
Rating/Warning: They will be getting tipsy later.
[ Akihiko knew he was late. He also knew that being late was uncharacteristic for him, and the last thing he wanted to do was make Shinji and Mitsuru worry over him, but he'd forgotten a crucial component of what he'd promised to bring. This was the second time he'd promised to bring snacks and almost didn't hold up his end of the deal, and that simply wasn't an option this time. By the time he's at the apartment door, his arms are full of an impressive array of items.
All of which are Akihiko-approved snacks, of course. There's jerky, and cheese sticks, and even a platter of crudites. He's spared his friends the intensity of protein drinks (even he knew they weren't appropriate for just... hanging out), and opted for more festive options. There's soda of some kind, and a box of what the shop owner claimed was wine as fine as top shelf. Mitsuru liked wine, right? And though he knew she was a woman of discerning tastes, he's not exactly swimming in currency at the moment.
Akihiko was, unfortunately, suckered right into it. At the very least, he did grab some top-shelf champagne. That much was worth spending on. It seemed right. He knocks on the door with his toe, wondering if Shinji was already inside, too. ]

Well, now there are three. The invitation for them to stay with her hadn't been said explicitly, but it was heavily implied when she brought each of them back and gave them room and leeway to do as the wished. The expectation had clearly been set, though, and she didn't really want to let either of them out of her sight for too long. The fear had been properly instilled when Shinjiro disappeared the first time and she's sworn not to let it happen again if she can.
So, in her own awkward way, she tries to be social with them, which...mostly includes her just spending a lot of time in the common area and being in their general vicinity when they're home. As well as indulging Akihiko's attempts at group bonding through small celebrations. She missed them.
It's Mitsuru that makes it to the door first, verifying that it's Akihiko through the peephole, before pulling it open. ]
--What on earth did you get?
[ Welcome home, honey. ]

When there's a bump at the door, he his posture straightens ever so slightly and he steps closer to it, but ultimately leaves Mitsuru up to opening it.]
...No wonder.
[Without even seeing the full extent of his loot. At least he hadn't been mugged or otherwise assaulted...]

Sorry I’m late. I stopped by to grab a few snacks. Last I checked, you barely had anything in the pantry, Mitsuru.
[ He steps inside, stepping out of his shoes and moving to dump the goodies on the kitchen table. ]

She's never had a tight budget like this before and it's honestly a little difficult to manage when she's used to spending much, much more. Did he remember to keep the receipt as she instructed? ]
...Yes, well-- [ Ahem. She shuts the door behind him. ] --I was living by myself, so there wasn't a great need to have as much food.
[ Lies. She pretty much had take out at all times. ]

But he didn't, and he's placated in the fact that Akihiko hasn't bought protein shakes, bars and powders in bulk. At the same time, he could've done better...but he'll refrain from nitpicking.]
You noticed an empty pantry and thought of beef jerky...
[For the most part, anyway.]
