[At least Sousei seems more amused than anything by that. Of course Tenka would have. That's what Tenka does--he acts as a big brother to everyone. Sousei can't act as a big brother; he doesn't know how. But a guard dog? He can do that.

Understood. [He's not going to ask her to hide behind him while he protects her; if she says she can protect herself, then she can protect herself.] Then we will work together on this.

[A pause, and he thinks. There are things he only suspects about her, but he knows...very little. It bothers him, not to know anything for certain, though he doesn't intend to drag it out of her either. He'll just lay all of his cards out on the table.]

This goes for humans as well, here. I suspect you have been treated poorly by humans before, perhaps in ways I cannot even imagine. That will not be allowed to happen here.
