A – Getting food (cw: cannibalism)
[ Kaneki has found the lack of need to get superfluous things. As he is still getting very used to this whole place, he worries about the currency and doesn’t spend much. It helps a lot that he doesn’t have to eat three meals a day like humans do, but it comes a time when Kaneki can’t hold back his hunger anymore. What he has to eat doe not sit right with him at all, and the times he has tried to purchase “food”, he has felt sick and given up.
But it has been nearly a month. He needs to eat. And that’s why he enters a food shop and heads for the area that isn’t usually frequented by many people. He is careful, certainly! He makes sure no one is around, no one is looking and as he grabs the piece of flesh and finally buys it; the shop’s owner probably noticed by now the weird kid who comes in and then leaves without buying anything, and is probably glad kaneki got over it and just bought the damn thing.
Of course he asks for the meat to be wrapped in all sorts of paper so no one will notice, and once it’s all wrapped up he puts it inside the bag and nervously leaves the shop, looking as if he has done something really terrible.
Maybe that’s when he bumps into someone. You? ]
B – Getting coffee
[ he isn’t an expert at this. Well, he has been getting a lot better at making coffee, but certainly not an expert, right? Still, he is picky with his coffee, having been used to drink Anteiku’s blend and specialty, and figuring that no one could come close to it. So, why not try his own blend? Without a coffee grinder, he can’t make it from the scratch, but he has saved enough for a small second-hand coffee machine which he cleaned up and prepared so he could make something out of powdered coffee.
That means he has to buy said powdered coffee. And what brand and blend should he choose? Well, the thing about being in an alien world, is that anything is possible and inside the shop he is currently at, Kaneki has so many options to pick from that it’s sort of overwhelming. He decides to try with the first…….. 10.
That’s a lot of coffee, but he doesn’t see mind as he grabs the bags as if it was the most natural thing. Nevermind his shopping cart only has coffee in it, too. Geee, someone is addicted. ]
C – Gardens
[ Just because he is in a strange world doesn’t mean he can slack off. Sure, the first month was chaotic, he was lost most of the time, but he started to adapt to it a lot faster than he expected. Hey. When life throws you lemons, right? Even if they are really sour and gross lemons.
As he is finally used to the routine, Kaneki uses his free time for a lot of different things, but he has decided not to stop his training either. Back home, he used to train with Touka-chan and Yomo-san, and he wants to keep it up – and running seems like a good way to train. Kanei can be found every morning, when it’s still pretty early, running around the Gardens. There aren’t many people around, so he takes this chance to get a bit distracted in his own mind as he runs, but he won’t mind someone stopping him to chat. ]
D – Regretting his life choices aka Pleasure district aka Someone save this guy
[ Kaneki got and surely curiosity killed the cat. But he imagined it’d be like hot springs since he read there was a spa and public bathhouse, but watch Kaneki’s mind realizing just where he ended up in. Surrounded by host clubs, tea houses that certainly look like something that came out of an erotic novel, Kaneki is basically like a lost puppy in a den of wolves and the virginiest virgin who ever virgined, so he is just nervously saying “no thank you” to whoever approaches and talks to him.
He was SURE there was a bathhouse around here, oh god, don’t tell him it’s an euphemism for something seriously embarrassing, why is this happening to him. ]
