That didn't make it enjoyable, however.
The palace of mirrors is deplorable. She's seen enough on her own to realize that they are reflections of memories that one would rather not recall in detail. To ignore them entirely would be discounting the importance of why they're there in the first place, but it doesn't make it easy to accept.
