That's not true. Most people would try. It's just the decent thing to do. [She brings her hands up to her closed eyes, pressing the heels of her palms in until color sparks and explodes behind her eyelids. She didn't want to see this anymore, hated the small reminders.

Another shard shows Yuri helping a different girl out of a box filled with a black, thick, water-like subsistence and trying to help her home. The next moment shows the girl leaving and the next she, too, is dead and attacking Yuri.

I couldn't even save the one person she'd asked me to help. What good are my intentions if they don't lead anywhere better?
