( Oh, boy, he sure is ready to eat. Look, he's already eyeing this one piece of meat like just try and take it Kashuu and I'll fight you! And you too, Kogitsunemaru and Tsurumaru and smallest fox too!!
He really isn't expecting any sort of announcement or anything fancy like that. Its just dinner? Haru likes it when they eat together and it's been awhile since they've done it last. Mutsu enjoys it too and in his excitement, he doesn't even notice the way Haru shifts about awkwardly to himself around them. Well, he does but Haru is always a little on the uncertain side...
So when Haru sits up and addresses them all, Mutsu looks up from that one piece of meat he was giving battle stares at other swords over. Huh? Was this... something important? He wonders if it has something to do with those mirrors that had hurt so many of them before... maybe he just wants to reassure them all or something? It seems like a very Haru thing to do.
And then he says it. "You don't have to go back." Immediately, his mind goes to his display case in the Kyoto National Museum. It wasn't bad, you know? A little boring but he got to see a lot of people whenever he was out. They would get close enough for him to hear their stories but otherwise? It wasn't a bad resting place.
He definitely prefers his time at the citadel with Haru and the others more, though.
Gee, he sure is quiet for awhile like he really can't believe he just heard that. )
