Hey, Kashuu! You live here, too?
[Oh, good, they seem to know each other already. It's so nice when his new friends and his family get along. ♥]
It took a while, but Mei here finally helped me get out. That jungle was getting seriously old by the end.

[How convenient! This makes his job-- both in getting Kouha settled in the apartments under Haru and getting the Swords acquainted with him-- that much easier!
Koumei stifled an amused chuckle.]
I should have forseen this. The two of you together are like a pair of beans in a pod.

[Pointing off in some vague direction YEAH. He'll also nod in response to Koumei's question.]
We met back in that weird dating thing. He's got a great eye for fashion, you know!
no subject
[They're going to raid each other's magazines and accessories at this rate...]
Mei's not really one for fashion, which is a shame. Maybe if you visit a lot, you can help me get him on board sometime!
[He shoots a grin to the man next to him, teasing. He loves you, bro, but the chance is too good to pass up.]
no subject
[He intoned flatly, with the expression of a man who was well accustomed to allowing his younger sisters (and brother) to play with his hair.]
no subject
[BEAMING AT THE COMPLIMENT. Closet raids are truly imminent...
Ah, he recognizes that tone, though. It's the same tone that he hears from the swords with longer hair whenever he goes let me braid it pretty pleeease!]
Hey! Fashion is all about kindness, even if getting to the end result might be a steep climb.
no subject
[He's the most overly overprotective one, despite being the youngest, and that kind of comment goes right to the heart. He puts one hand over his heart, dramatically acting as though he's really wounded.]
Looking good is always worth the effort in the end, anyway.
[AKA, "the ends justify the means," which just makes his original point moot.]
no subject
[Koumei bowed solemnly, seeing already that there was no talking his way out of this one.]
I place myself in the both of your care. My only request is that you don't make my hair a strange color. Is that all right?
no subject
You better not be talking about Haruji's hair. It's cute! [JUST AUTOMATICALLY ASSUMES THAT'S WHAT BROUGHT ON THE COMMENT.]
But it's fine, since your hair is a nice color already.
no subject
You're fine, Mei! There's no way I'm gonna make you change your color! It's great the way it is.
[Plus, it helps them look related, so Kouha will dig his heels in whenever the concept of either of them dying it comes up.]
What, is Haruji's hair weird? What color is it?
[He's heard of the mysterious Haru, but he hasn't gotten to meet him in person. Now, his curiosity is really piqued.]
no subject
[Because the hair color was the one key feature amongst all the children who were sired by their father, and it was fairly unique. He was rather fond of it, with it's distinctiveness and everything.]
no subject
[More like he likes Kashuu so much that he continued to humor him, but hey, same diff...]
But don't worry, don't worry! Like I said, your hair color is good. But you have a looot of it to work with, so we can try out a ton of styles!
no subject
[He lifts a lock of his own hair, wondering how much pinker than this someone could get, if Kashuu was getting so defensive about it after complimenting them.]
Guess he's a bold guy, huh... If you're gonna keep up, Mei, we're gonna have to do something extreme, too! Without changing the color, though. Maybe we could do it up, instead?
[Don't lose to this Haru guy, Koumei!!]
no subject
You mean this doesn't count as 'up?'
[It was (mostly) out of his way, and that was good enough by him!]
no subject
It's kinda like, messy half-up? But I think he's talking about a real proper updo! It's totally different from just pulling it up into a ponytail.
[Obviously!!]
no subject
(Neither because they probably just drink tea and chat like normal people.)]
Ponytails totally don't count, especially when it's that messy.
[Seriously, sometimes it looks like Koumei goes to bed like that and just never redoes it in the morning. He gestures with his hands, motioning at hair sitting way higher up on the head.]
A real updo's way more complicated... Like, you remember what Kougyoku did when her engagement got announced? Something like that!
[That hairstyle might be a bit much for a guy, though.]
no subject
But Kouha's suggestion may have actually made Koumei a little nervous. He recalled that hairdo quite well-- she had looked
like an old hagfar more mature than her 17 years, and it was a complicated hair style.]...I don't believe that hairpins that ornate are really suitable for this.
[Say's the man who's Metal Vessel is a feathered fan]
no subject
CLASSY, HE'S SURE.]
Something like that would be nice! You can dress it down for daily wear, obviously.
no subject
[SUPER CLASSY.
He gives Kashuu a grateful smile. It's nice to have somebody with good taste on his side.]
But hairpins would be one of the better ways of holding it up. Don't say that before you've even tried it, Mei!
no subject
Honestly, I never thought to give them a try. Our sisters were the ones who put those in my hair.
no subject
[Which is always the endgoal that everyone should aim for, clearly!!]
no subject
[Don't move the goal posts, Kouha!!]
no subject
Then I am at your mercy. Please, be kind to me.
no subject
We will be! Don't worry about that at all. You're in basically the best possible hands you could ever be in, you know!
