No idea, but the alien seemed to know exactly who they were speaking to each time. I don't know if it's really the masks, or if it's something they created based on knowledge of us. If they've really destroyed all of our worlds or whatever...they would have still taken all of the information from them if they were smart.

Just makes you wonder what else they might know.
