[ At least Shinpachi doesn't really seem surprised by Souji's.. well, Souji's anything. Casual murder would be something most people would look up at as a greeting, but the combination of A) it being Souji and B) the fact that it's not like they haven't been in situations like this before makes it a lot less strange. Having regular banter while murdering people is sort of just a Shinsengumi thing. The only slightly surprising thing about it is that he doesn't remember Souji being here before (right? probably? it's still a little fuzzy up there), but that can easily be explained through the fact he has no idea how long he was gone to begin with.

No time to think about that anyway. Not with NPCs with a whole arsenal of weapons that keep jumping at them. Shinpachi might seem like a moron sometimes, but he does have priorities. ]

This isn't the kinda party I was expecting, y'know.

[ Like.. maybe at least a few more drinks first? Some pretty girls that aren't trying to kill him? Not that he minds a slightly less murderous fight, but geez, talk about false advertising. ]

Or are you telling me you're the one that organized this? [ Nothing serious about that statement, more just the usual Shinsengumi banter.. especially since it happens right as Shinpachi also gets rid of one of the NPCs jumping at them with a dagger.

It's not like he likes this situation, but.. well, it's a lot less bad with one of his comrades around, that's for sure. It's why he can't help but grin a little at the sight of the other all the same. ]
