It’s probably a bit over-dramatic compared to the years other people have spent, but those weeks might as well be centuries to Souji. Every moment spent just existing in Cerealia doing nothing for the Shinsengumi clawing at him, making him wonder if this was all he had to look forward to now despite everything he’d done. ]

Souji easily cuts down every NPC that attacks, a little too caught up in the moment to consider things like "leaving before every NPC in the room murderdogpiles them" or the idea that "hey these are NPCS so they’ll probably respawn which means this might be never-ending wow" ]
